Love Error (Metal Sonic x Reader)

NORMAL

(Reader's P.O.V.)

    I got a call somewhere around midnight. The caller ID was unknown but I was told Tails would message me so I answer. "Hello?" "Sorry for calling so late but I have good news. I finished the machine. All that's left is to test it. I wanted you both to be there for the test." Tails sounded excited on the other end of the line. "Sure we'll be there but can you wait until the sun comes up first? I don't like walking out at this ungodly hour." "I might be better if you come now. Wasn't it you who said you wanted to turn back to normal?" I sigh, well the robotic version of what sounds similar to a sigh, "We'll be there in an hour but once I get changed back I'm sleeping for a year." We say our goodbyes and I hang up the phone. Shortly after Metal enters my room. >HOW ARE YOU FEELING? WHO WERE YOU TALKING TO? "I'm feeling better after resting, although I miss the soft feeling of my pillow and mattress. I was on the phone with Tails by the way. He wants us to come by his workshop immediately." >WHAT FOR? "He finished his machine. I get to turn back to normal."

(Metal Sonic's P.O.V.)

    Upon hearing her words, I felt a bit "excited". I finally get to see what she looked like before. I wonder how pretty she looked. She looks perfect to me as she is now but... what am I doing? These errors of mine must be getting worse. What is the name of this "feeling"? Why does it make me behave so strangely? It is as if I've become a stranger to myself. "Are you okay?" >I AM FINE. SIMPLY LOST IN "THOUGHT". "Well let's go see Tails' machine. I'm so excited, if I weren't a machine I'd hardly be able to contain it!" She grabs my metal hand in hers. Another jolt goes through me. I wish I could understand the errors in my program. Is this what it's like to obtain a "heart"?

(Reader's P.O.V.)

    As we make our way to Tails' workshop I keep noticing Metal glancing at me. It's hard to tell exactly what he's thinking but I feel like it has something to do with me. Is he mad at me about something? Did I forget something? Is there something on my face? I'm sure it's just my imagination... We arrive at Tails' workshop and a very excited twin-tailed fox lets us in. He leads us into the garage where a large machine is. "Well, here it is the De-Roboticizer. If it works We'll be able to change you back to normal." He places a plant on the pad and activates the machine. The plant turns to metal. "And now we test the reverse switch. If my theory is correct then the plant should transform back." He activates the machine, which gives off an awful lot of blue lightning. When the sparks fade we see the results of the machine. What was once a metal mass of green returned into a beautiful plant blooming with life. It actually worked. "Tails! Use it on me next! I want to go back to normal again!" "All right, all right. Calm down (Y/N)... We have to let the machine rest a minute. Okay, it should be good to go. Just stand on the platform and hold still. Let me know if there's any discomfort and I'll shut it off immediately."

(Metal Sonic's P.O.V.)

I watch as (Y/N) steps up onto the metal plate. I feel "worried". Something doesn't feel right about this. I should be "happy" for her but I don't. Not to say my errors have left but simply that my errors are making me feel "worried" about her. But all I can do is watch. This is what she wants, I should not stand in her way even if I feel it's "wrong". I watch as Tails activates the machine. I see so many sparks fly around (Y/N). When the sparks fade I see...
