I think I owe you all a one-shot for making you suffer for the last one. This will be a follow up of the last one. I don't know why but follow ups are my thing lol. It's a long one haha Happy Pride months lovelies, Enjoy!!!

Meryl had been more on the edge for a whole month since her encounter with Cher. The divorce really affected her even if it had been a year. She has been having anxiety attacks more often and it worried her family. Meryl was invited to the Met Gala that year and she went even if her kids disagreed. She wore a beautiful orange long sleeved gown.

It was good for her to get out and be distracted by all that was going on. Her children didn't like that she went alone. No one knew about her anxiety so there was no one around in case she had an attack. Meryl argued that she would be fine, she had a new assistant to look after her. Meryl felt good to be out again, seeing her friends and coworkers after a while was a relief to her in a way. It meant that she wasn't a stranger to the world. After the talks about her and Cher's divorce subsided, everything was calm. Although now she felt empty inside, right there reality hit that Cher was out of her life.

The evening went well, she had a good time. Meryl spent it with Emily Blunt and Anna Wintour. She felt uneasy all of a sudden when the lights went out. Meryl hears clapping and screaming then Emily gestures her to see the stage. Right there she saw Cher standing on the stage. Meryl's heart skipped a beat, her heart racing a million per second. Everybody started screaming and singing along. After the performance was over Cher walked off the stage. She wanted to change and be there for a little while.
Anna, Meryl and Emily started chatting about random things at first. Emily knew the effect of seeing Cher again was causing to Meryl so she didn't speak of it.

"Anna, did you see Katy Perry's hamburger outfit yet?" Emily said playfully

"Don't even get me started, I almost had a heart attack" Anna joked, they all laughed

"There are pretty amazing and strange outfits tonight" Meryl said

"What I found strange was Cher performing in jeans" Anna said, Meryl straighten up "At least at first but she still looked incredible" Meryl quietly sighed "The other day I heard a rumour that she was seeing someone" Meryl's eyes shot at Anna "I don't know whether it's true or if it's a woman or a man. I mean it has been a year"

"Oh my" said Emily, not noticing Meryl's behavior had change

Meryl didn't respond, she was too stunned. Her mind totally zoned out, going back and picturing Cher with Kathy Griffin again. She crossed her arms feeling a sudden cold. Everything disappeared around her, Meryl was lost in a trance. Images of Kathy all over Cher started appearing to her. The thought of them kissing and making love terrified her. Meryl's face turned into an expressionless one. Sharon, the new assistant noticed the change in Meryl. Since she was new at this, she got scared and forgot half of what to do.

"Excuse me, I think we need to get Meryl to sit down. Now" she said, Emily and Anna looked at Meryl and saw she was white as a paper. They got concerned and quickly went to sit down with her.

"I'll go get some water. Please try to calm her down" Sharon told them and ran to get the water.

"How are we suppose to do that?" Emily said to Anna

"I don't know" Anna said, she turned to Meryl seeing she was starting to shake uncontrollably "Meryl, are you ok? Meryl?" She said but got no response.

Meryl was completely zoned out, her arms crossed, shaking and rocking herself back and forth. The rest of the people around noticed what was happening. They started to walk to them and ask what was happening neither Emily or Anna knew. They surrounded them, trying to help their legendary actress star. This got the attack worse and Meryl started hyperventilating.
