London 2018

Meryl had been divorced to Don for a month. Right after that she secretly married Cher who she had been in a secret relationship with. Before the wedding, they came out to their families and they supported them. Another month later they were asked to join the cast of the Mamma Mia sequel. Cher and Meryl talked and decided it was time to come out, they were going to do it to the cast then the rest of the world.

Cher had gotten to London first, she was received with a warm welcome. She was having a good time getting to know everyone. Cher listened to the way they all talked about her wife and it made her proud. She couldn't wait to spend the rest of her life with her true love.

The day Cher was filming 'Fernando' with Andy García came. Everyone was there to witness the beautiful scene. It was the middle of the song, Cher and Andy were already in front of each other. A man came to Ol and whispered something in his ear that brought concern.

"Cut!!!" He yelled "Everyone gather around please" the crowd did, Pauly got by Cher's said, Andy was in the other

"Is everything ok" Judy asked

Ol sighed "Sadly no, our head of security in this studio came to me. There has been an assault in Heathrow airport and the attackers have taken hostages. Meryl Streep is among those hostages" she said in a cracked voice at the end.

Cher went pale, her legs started failing her "NOOO!!!" she screamed and began falling, Pauly catch her. Cher fell on her knees crying, Pauly going down with her to comfort her. They were all worried about Meryl, the cast knew how close Cher was with her. They were confused at her reaction to the news but also heart broken. No one knew the real nature of their relationship so they didn't know what Cher was going through.

"The police will come over later to give us an update. We have to be patient and have faith that Meryl will be ok"

Pauly took Cher took her seat and gave her some water. Cher was shaking, terrified for her wife.

"Everything is going to be ok Cheralina, you heard Ol, we have to have faith" Pauly said hugging her best friend as she cried in her arms.

"This can't be happening, we just got married" Cher cried

"I know honey" Pauly said

"What if, what if the attackers do something to her? They can't" Cher said in tears

"They won't, Meryl is too valuable. The attackers must want something out of that" Pauly said

"Pauly, I can't lose her before we even start our lives together. Meryl must be scared and helpless" Cher said in a cracked voice

"You won't, she's strong and will make sure to stay that way. Her love for you will do that" Pauly reassured, Cher threw herself into her best friends arms.

Everyone around didn't understand why the situation affected Cher so much. She was heartbroken and scared for Meryl's life. An hour later, a police officer came, he talked to Judy and Ol about the situation. When the officer was about to walk out the door, Cher stopped him.

"Excuse me, any news?" She said

"As I told your director, the attackers are using the hostages as leverage. We are doing the best we can to get them back safely" the officer said in his British accent

"And Meryl? Meryl Streep? Is she ok?" Cher asked

"She's alive" he said

"Oh thank God" Cher got closer to him "listen up, I have everything you can ask for. You can have whatever you ask for but get me my wife back" she realized what she said "If you let out that last detail to anyone before it's time, we are going to have a problem. Just get Meryl back, you have three hours" the officer nodded and walked off

Pauly gave her a look when she got closer "What did you say to him Cher?" She asked

"I just made sure Meryl gets back safe" Cher said and walked away

Cher tried to get herself distracted as the minutes past. There were times where she just sat in her seat staring into space. Tears rolling down her face. The rest of the cast was worried about her. Pauly never left her side, she always kept an eye on her. The deadline was almost over and there were no news. After a while, the cast heard footsteps and got alerted. A round of police men came through the door.

"Out of my way, I want to see my wife" Meryl shouted getting pass them. Cher heard her voice and pushed every one aside to get to her. They were too busy wondering why Meryl said 'wife'

"Meryl?" Cher said ones she was in sight

"Cher" Meryl said

Without thinking anything else, they ran into each others arms. The rest ofthe crowd tried to get to Meryl but Pauly stopped them.

"Give them a minute" Pauly said

They fell on their knees together with tears of joy. They hugged, then looked into each others eyes and smiled.

"I thought I'd lost you" Cher said caressing her wife's hair

"And I thought I would never see you again, I was so scared" Meryl said under her breath

"I know babe, I was scared too. We're together now and nothing will tear us apart again" Cher said

"I love you, my lovely wife" Meryl told her

"I love you too, my lovely wife" Cher replied

They kissed passionately embracing each other. Pauly smiled at the sight while everybody else was stunned. When they parted, they giggled. Pauly cleared her throat which got their attention. When the women saw the crowd's faces, they gave a small laugh.

"We can explain" they said in unison. From then on, the filming of the movie went amazing. When they told the world, they were ready to face it together.
