King! Nightmare x Guard! Cross

(In this one cross is just a guard that falls for his king over all nightmare is just lying to people on how strong he is until cross breaks it with one check up that could change how he treats his people~)

No one's POV:
Nightmare was busy doing his normal stuff with yelling whenever he is told something couldn't be done in that time or how it seems impossible to do said task. "Why do I have you if you just complain! Get to work! Or else!" He shouts in pure anger and annoyance. When he shouts you can feel his anger in the castle and feel like dying there, but there was this one guard who didn't feel that feeling all he felt was loneliness and sadness for their king's voice. That guard's name was cross since he felt with cruel people before he was use to the shouting though he feels like no one wants to see what's truly he's hiding from his people. So like any kind guard he checks on his king in his private chambers. He over hears the King getting change as he speaks to himself doing it himself. "Man why can't anyone help keep this kingdom from falling apart I'm spreading my men thin and I'm getting sick and tired with their excuses and how nothing is getting done! Ugh I'm trying my people but no one in this kingdom will love me if I go to war soon." He said once his special outfit was on.

Cross walks up to the door with a soft knock. "My king is everything alright? I over heard you talk about our people yet again." He said in a kind voice. The king turns around and spots his loyal guard. "Oh it's just you cross sorry about my rambling I get that no one wants a weak king or a lose of a leader like me." Nightmare said about himself and just that.

Cross walks up to him and hugs him. "I know how you feel, many people don't understand why I'm not afraid of you, it's because I've felt that same pain your in right now." He said still hugging him as Nightmare breaks down crying on his should letting all his emotions out on his favorite guard. "I just wish I could do more instead of being told it can't be done." Nightmare said to cross. Cross soon let's go of the hug and wipes his King's tears. "Come on my king let's go and see what you have done to this kingdom." He said standing up and helping him feel a bit calmer now. Nightmare was soon standing with Cross' help to walk to his people as the workers are busy finishes up as many projects that won't done so they isn't notice the two holding hands.

"My king you can let go of me we are in public." Cross said to Nightmare in a whisper. Nightmare being the stubborn person he is doesn't let go and smirks at this. "Nah I don't care what my people think right now." He said in a cocky tone. They begin the walk around the kingdom Nightmare has. Over the short time Cross is with the king he starts to feel glee. No one could make him to let go since the king won't let go no matter what he says to him. He soon gives up on asking if letting go of him. Though Nightmare gets less cocky and starts to show happiness he thought he would never have. "I really love you cross." He whispers towards cross' ear should be to see him a blushing mess.

Nightmare kisses him on the spot and took him to the castle since he got bored of walking around so he teleports them both to his bedroom. Cross was in a daze during the kiss and plus the teleporting. "Umm Sorry, about that cross but I'm not going to take anything from you. I just want you near by can we just you know kiss and cuddle?" He asked him. Cross nodded and starts to cuddle him almost as if it felt right, like he would not feel bad not being near his king his leader his hope. "You can do as you like my king." He said sweetly. Nightmare smiles and starts to cuddle him back feeling like he needs to protect him fro his worst fears. "Thanks Cross."
