On our drive home we listened to the new Billie Eilish album. God, I love her so much. Shawn had wrote her a text to congratulate her on it, but she never replied. All of his friends were mocking him about it last night. It was hilarious.

"I'm so glad that Aaliyah and you get along so well. You guys already seem like friends." He was right. I really loved her a lot. "I can't wait to meet your little sister."

Only the thought of it made me giggle. "Well, she's going to have a massive heart attack. But after she recovered you're going to love her. She's the best."

Shawn took one hand from the wheel and grabbed onto mine. "Did you tell her about me by now? Or your other friends?"

I tensed up a bit. This had been a critical topic between us. I still hadn't told anybody about it - except David of course. Shawn was the complete opposite, obviously. And my secret-keeping seemed to concern him.

I just didn't know how to start. Hey, I met Shawn Mendes in New York. You know, this super hot megastar. And we hooked up. But somehow there's more between us and that's because I skipped work and flew to Toronto to visit him.

"No I haven't. But I told you I want to do it in person." He sighted. "Theoretically I should be glad about your discretion. This doesn't happen often when people meet me. But, I don't know, somehow it makes me feel nervous. Like you're uncertain about me, about us."

I let go of his hand and stroke softly over his neck. "I am here, right?" He smiled and nodded. "And it's just a big thing to tell people. I never told my family about any guy I...well...you know, potentially dated or something."

And here we entered the next uncomfortable subject. Shawn and I hadn't had 'the talk' yet. I was leaving tomorrow and somehow we both managed to tiptoe around it.

Shawn clearly cared about me. Otherwise he wouldn't have invited me and introduced me to his friends and his sister. And I sure liked him aswell. But did that mean we were dating? Exclusively?

Nevertheless, Shawn did seem very serious about me telling my people about him. It was important to him and I really wanted to respect that.

I thought for a moment. "But if it's this important to you, then I'm going to tell Anna about you tonight." Anna was apart from David my closest friend. And I was almost sure that she wouldn't freak out or tell people about this.

After that, I would sit down with Shawn and ask him about what we were, like our status. It sounded like a plan. Hopefully I wouldn't chicken out at the last minute.

"Yeah, now you know everything. That's why I'm not home already." I stopped and looked at my friend, who stared at me from the smartphone display.

For a second nobody said a word.

Then Anna cleard her throat and said: "Well, is that all?" I furrowed my brows. I hadn't expect this reaction at all, but I nodded. Anna had serious expression on her face.

But than a little smile escaped her mouth. "Gosh Lilly, I can't leave you alone for two weeks without getting into drama, eh?" I laughed. This sounded much more like her.

"I'm a little mad that you didn't tell me earlier. I would have called you right from the rooftop bar, I guess. But this explaines why David was so strange about your visit when we talked two days ago."

"I'm so sorry. Everything happened so fast and everything was a little bit overwhelming, to be honest." Anna nodded. I knew she would understand me.

"Where are you at the moment? Where is your popstar?"

"Don't call him that! Everything is so much easier when he is just Shawn", I mumbled. His fame was still something I had trouble to deal with.
