Pregnancy was... rough.
It made sleeping rough.
It made cooking rough.
It made life rough.
Angrily, Bakugou whisked the batter, muttering, "Diediediediediediediediedie."
The doorbell rang. He scowled, but put down the bowl, and walked over to open the door. He blinked at Tsuyu and Momo, who jumped when they saw him.
He stared for a while, then asked. "How...?"
"We asked your mother after you disappeared. We were able to wheedle out the answer."
Bakugou sighed, and then pulled them inside.
His cottage, a modest building, was cute and had two floors, with lots of windows and creamy white colored walls.
His mother and father decorated it tastefully, and he was thankful for that.
Tsuyu's tongue lashed out slightly, and she handed him a basket.
"Your housewarming gift, kero," she explained with a warm smile.
He thanked her and then took it, opening it to look at its contents. There was a carton of eggs and milk, some flour, a few bundles of clothes, some bandaids and three differently sized candles.
He raised an eyebrow but appreciated it anyways.
He sat them down at the table and continued making his food, only this time, he mentally screamed, "DIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIE!!" instead of saying it.
Momo finally addressed the elephant in the room.
"Why did you quit, Bakugou? You just took your things and disappeared. You were so determined to be number one." She asked softly.
Bakugou stilled, his whisk slowing to a stop.
An unbearable itch grew inside of him, an anger that made him want to blast the two girls out of his house.
He turned, and glared ferociously. He ignored the question, and forcefully opened the oven door, a blast of heat wafting into the air.
He took out the pan of cookies, placing it on the table.
Bakugou aggressively handed some to them and then bit into one.
It tasted okay in his opinion, but Momo and Tsuyu looked like they were in love.
"Oh my gosh! Bakugou, this is amazing!"
Tsuyu agreed. "It's very good, kero."
Bakugou sighed, and relaxed a little. He continued chewing, and finally, he answered.
"There was a quirk incident. Because of it, I can't continue to become a hero."
Admitting it was like swallowing his pride. His tongue was heavy and it felt sour and disgusting. He hated this feeling.
Momo looked at him in shock. Then she nodded. "Well... I have to say, I feel bad. For some reason, Midoriya, Todoroki and Kirishima were really frantic to try and find you. We tried to ask but none of them would say anything. Do you know why?"
Bakugou wanted to freeze up and stare at them in shock but he forced himself not to.
"No, I don't."
Then he continued to make batter.
Tsuyu stepped up, and said, "Bakugou, add some more flour. It looks too watery, kero."
"Oh, thanks."
Bakugou suddenly swerved and threw up in the trash can, cursing as Tsuyu and Momo looked at him in worry. When he finished, with his throat burning as his nose and eyes watered, he simply answered, "Sickness", and they ignored him.
