Mutual Attatchment

Chapter 3

"I've never seen her before. You think she's new. She's cute." Taehyung said.

"We got a new girl in the middle of the term? Where?" Somin asked.

"Under the tree. Somin you're not the best at noticing things." The raven pointed out.

"I notice enough," defends the brunette as she turns in the direction of the tree. She sees the girl Tae was talking about and couldn't stop the questions that arise in her mind.

Who was she? Why show up in the middle of the term? Why hasn't she gone to the office to get her timetable yet? Why is she isolating herself from every one by sitting on the opposite end of field under the tree? Is it because she's shy and scared by the new atmosphere? Isn't she cold? Her attire didn't look nearly warm enough for Seoul's Autumn weather.

She didn't get a chance to answer those questions as Matthew came up behind them.

"Hey guys, what are we looking at?" he asked leaning on to them and placing a kiss on Somin's cheek.

Tae was first to answer, "We got a new girl. Looks like she could be in our
grade."

"Nice. J.Seph, she's cute, you should totally ask her out."

Tae blushed, not fully denying the idea, " Nah BM, I don't even know her. Maybe if we became friends first."

He looked to his friend for what she thought, "Somin, what do you think? Should we go up to her and introduce ourselves?"

Somin however, barely heard what they were saying to her. All of her attention was on the girl under the tree. Her curiosity taking over. She took in the image of the new company that had joined the school.

Her straight blonde hair was swept over her shoulders ending mid back. She had a thin physique and was wearing a leather jacket and black ripped jeans adding to the look the mysterious, new, bad girl.

She looked up and Somin could finally see her face. She had these big eyes and cute nose.

She must've died in a game she was playing on her phone as she tapped the device in her leg. Disappointment was evident on her face as she pouted her full lips bringing attention to her chubby cheeks.

A hand suddenly blocked her view of the girl and Tae's voice pulled her from her daze.

"Earth to Somin" Taehyung said waving his hand infront of the brunettes face.

"Sorry, what were you trying to say?" the brunette says looking away from the direction of the blonde under the tree shifting her attention to the boys infront of her.

"I asked, before you completely zoned out, if we should introduce ourselves to her." Taehyung repeats his previous question.

"Umm, ya sure. Let's go," the brunette says still distracted as she looks back in the direction of the girl who had gone back to looking at what she had been doing in her phone.

The blonde looked up as the three approached her. Unsure of what to do, she looks away hoping to draw as little attention to herself as possible hoping they would leave her alone.

She then realised that that was stupid considering how they were already walking towards her. She heard a friendly voice greating her. He sounded like he didn't have a care in the world and the blonde felt a slight pang of envy that surprised her.

"Hey, I'm Kim Taehyung but everyone calls me J.Seph except for this one next to me. She, being my best friend, calls me Tae."

"And I don't see myself calling you anything else. Well unless you count Fofo." Somin grins.

"Oh my god Somin, that doesn't even suit me and I wouldn't be talking Fofa."

"Ok Fofo, that's enough. Don't scare the girl. I'm Jeon Somin by the way and that's my boyfriend, Matthew Kim," the brunette said, refering to the boi behind her.

"Jeon Jiwoo" Jiwoo says knowing they would learn her name one way or another and just decided sooner was better because then they would atleast go away sooner.

Somin perked up at the mention of her surname, "Hey we got the same family name."

"I guess" Jiwoo replied with little exitment that didn't match the brunette's.

Somin was a little taken aback by the lack of care in the blonde's voice but just brushed it of as first day of school nerves. She quickly tried to change the topic.

"So, have you gotten your timetable yet?"

"No," the blonde stated

'Well that was finite,' Somin thought almost giving up on the idea that they could befriend the girl who was still sitting under the tree. She gave it one last go.

"Where did yo-"

Her sentence was cut short when Jiwoo stood up abruptly successfully cutting her off but saying, "Sorry but I have to go it's been great talking to you but I need to find out where my first classroom is."

'Ok Somin, it's her first day, just let it go. Don't embarass yourself. She's clearly not interested in being friends with us.' Somin thought to herself. 'It's fine. Not everyone has to like you.'

She turned to Matthew and he just shrugged. She assumed he felt just as confused by her cold behaviour.

"Well she seemed nice" Tae said attempting to break the silence.

Morning registration ends and the three students walks to their first lesson. Somin and Matthew seperate from Taehyung as they got to the class. The couple both having Bio while Tae had Physics.

The raven haired boy makes his way along  the corridors to get to his physics class before the late bell rang. He silently scolds himself for walking with the other two knowing his classroom was on a different corridor from their's.

He enters the room just as the bell goes and quickly walks over to his desk. The lesson begins but about seven minutes into it there is a knock on the classroom door.

In comes the Grade Head teacher smiling brightly and shortly followed by a particular blonde.

"Good morning class," he greets, "Sorry for interruption but we have a new student. I hope we can all make her feel welcome."

He then walks out the class most likely off to indulge in his other duties leaving the blonde to introduce herself to everyone. That, however, was not the case though.

The blonde or Jiwoo as Taehyung recently learnt simply stood there not bothering to greet the class.

Our teacher, Mrs Choi, not wanting to waste anymore time of the lesson greets Jiwoo then searches the room for and empty seat. She smiles having found one and tells the blonde to take a seat.

Jiwoo walks over in Taehyung's direction. He furrows his eyebrows in confusion having completely forgotten that the seat behind him was left vacant next to Jimin.

Tae watches as Jimin greets her with his closed eye smile and Jiwoo nods as to greet him back.
