This story starts half way through Tegan's life, the middle of year eight at chesterfield high and follows through the rest of her life as she discovers her sexuality, feelings and much more.
"Tegan...Tegan...Tegan!!!!!" Alice Moore(Tegan's best friend) shouts down Tegan's ear and waves her hand in front of her face.
".......mmm...yeah?"
"What's wrong?"
"What do you mean, silly, nothings wrong ?!"
"Oh, well you've just seemed a bit off lately, and you keep staring into space like your in your own little world?!"
"Oh, I was just thinking about something...anyway what's new in your life?!"
Alice just nods and changes the subject onto the topic of her new online crush , Harrison Smith, who is an actor in the new Netflix original  Living on the edge and is as hot as cheese on a dominoes pizza in Alices opinion.

Much later, after school, Tegan walks all the way home by herself as she needed time to think. However she thought the 40 minute bus journey wasn't enough time to figure out her life choices and thoughts so she settled on walking an hour in the 20 degree mid June weather alone. She needed time to think, time to think about friends, family, school and especially bullying.
Tegan had been bullied for a number of years before this for being a so called giraffe in the school. She about a foot taller than everyone else in her year so she always gets called a "freak", "giant", "stupid", "beanstalk" and worst of all "mutant", she also always gets rude comments shouted at her from down the corridor. "How's the weather up there?"they say.
"You can barely fit through the door?!"they laugh.
Oh how those rude comments hurt her. Those cruel words stab her like a thousand sharp butcher knives.

She had recently been taught about reproduction and hormones in teenage lives and has started to think about how she has been feeling lately. She has thought, 'Is thinking about death normal?', 'Am I suicidal because I think no one will miss me if I died?' 'Am I a moody teenager just whining about everything?', 'What do hormones do?' And most importantly, 'What are hormones...?'
