Much later that day, Tegan was sat in her bedroom watching YouTube on her phone. Downstairs, were her parents, fighting. They fight almost everyday they knew, but they couldn't split because they always thought, 'What about Tegan?'
Although Tegan's parents used to fight and argue everyday, Tegan never thought anything of it. 'It's normal for parents to fight' she thought every time she heard a big swear word come out of her dads mouth. (Which was a lot by the way!)
As Tegan was watching her favourite YouTube series The story of my life, she realised that on her little tiny iPhone 5s screen, she could see, an almost exact representation of what her parents were doing but acted out by someone acting out their parents divorce. This, of course, heavily hurt her.
So, Tegan just sat there in her tiny little bedroom, in her tiny little purple single bed, thinking 'Is this really true?', 'Do my parents really fight that much?', 'Do they really never get along ?', 'Will my parents divorce?'
She sat there for a few hours, thinking, until at about half seven, her brother comes barging into her bedroom shouting "It's pizza!!!!!!!Pizza!Pizza!Pizza!!!!! I LOVE PIZZA!!!!!!!Also, by the way, Tegan, tea's ready!"
He then ran straight back out of her room waving his arms about like a crazy lunatic. 'He's so stupid and annoying!!' She thought. Even the little things he did, annoyed her so much that her volcano of anger erupted in her mothers face.
She got up from her comfy bed, and headed for the door. She decided, to pretend nothing had changed and watch her parents closely to see if they are actually very upset with each other all the time. After her tea, Tegan went to the kitchen to see if there was anything for dessert. She found a tub of Ben&Jerry's ice cream, so she grabbed a spoon from the drawer and headed back upstairs. On the wall of her stairs, there was a picture of Tegan's mum, dad, brother and Tegan sitting on their living room couch with her mum and dad kissing in the middle of the picture. Tegan looked at this and thought, 'I remember when were a big happy family'
By the time Tegan had actually got to her room, she was already in tears. 'What would happen if they divorced?' She always thought. 'What would happen to me and Tim?'
Tegan stayed in her room, for the rest of night, crying about her parents fighting.
