3 - Just A Peck, I Beg You

"So Yue decided to call you Didi. She's a smart girl right?"

It's Darren. Again.

"What are you doing here? Can you please give me rest just for tonight?" Dylan said to Darren, somehow pissed.

"You are always the bearer of bad news for me."

"That's not how to treat a friend DIDI."

Dylan bared his teeth upon hearing Darren give emphasis on the name Yue has given to him as a dog.

Yue calls him Didi. The human him.

And now that he's a dog, she still chose to call him Didi.

Dylan doesn't know if he will be happy or insulted. But he can't protest. Yue asked him to be very quiet or risk being discovered and that's the last thing he wanted to happen.

Not when she finally took him in.

And he's staying in their special place. So no. He's gonna be a good boy. Er..... good dog.

And he won't let this fairy ruin his luck. He won't rise up to his baiting.

Dylan flashed Darren his best dog smile. "So why are you here, Mr. Fairy?"

"I am here to congratulate you for a job well done. You managed to let Yue take you in. But remember what I told you the night I transformed you into a dog?"

Crap. Dylan doesn't like where this is going.

Inhale. Exhale. Happy thoughts. 

Darren is now smiling that irritating smile of his.

Dylan closed his eyes. Inhale. Exhale. Happy thoughts. 

"Since you managed to accomplish the first task that I gave you, here's your final task. Yue should kiss you. If she does that, then I will turn you back into your human self."

Dylan opened his eyes and stared at Darren. "What? Kiss me? She can barely get near me, and now you want her to kiss me? Are you out of your mind?" His voice has risen an octave higher.

"Ah. Didi. Don't shout. Remember. Inhale. Exhale. Happy thoughts." Darren said, obviously mocking him.

Dylan charged at Darren, intent on biting him. But before he can do so, he disappeared. And Dylan bumped instead on the wall.

Aarrgghhh! As if the aches and pains all over his body were not enough, now he has another bump in his head.

"I will get you one day Mr. Fairy. Just wait."

Dylan then went back to the soft rug and settled in, to sleep.

Tomorrow is another day.

Dylan was so bored. He doesn't know what time Yue will arrive from school.

Yue promised she will see him as soon as she's home. She checked on him this morning, gave him food and a ball so he will have something to play with.
