Ushijima X Reader

Chapter 1

You stopped walking and stared at the door. There were sounds of balls hitting the ground behind the door. You opened the door and walked in. "Excuse me, is this the male's volleyball team?" Some turned to look at you, wondering who you were. "[L/N]-san!" Hinata shouted. Daichi and Sugawara sighed, "What's all this ruckus for, Hinata?" not noticing you.

"She's the one I talked about! [L/N] [F/N]!" Hinata said enthusiastically. "What did you call me here for, Hinata?" "Well, um, you see-" Hinata started to talk but was got interrupted. "Hi, [L/N]-san, my name is Sawamura Daichi, captain of Karasuno's male volleyball team." "My name is [L/N] [F/N], it's a pleasure to meet you. [F/N] is fine," you bowed to him.

"So um, [F/N]-san..? Do you think you can fill in for one of our teammates?" Daichi asked. He told you the whole situation. Apparently, their teammate hurt his knee while practicing. They looked at you hesitantly, begging you to go as they couldn't find anyone else and they heard about you from Hinata. "He said your skills were good, so we thought of asking you," Daichi added.

You thought about it for a minute. Well, it's not like I have anything better to do anyway. "Sure but.." Hinata was already jumping and shouting "YES!!" Sugawara hit his head and said, "Calm down, Hinata. Sorry, what were you going to say, [F/N]-san?" You smiled and continued, "Since I'm a girl, do you think they'll agree to let me play with you guys?" "I asked them in advance and they said it should be fine since it's a practice match," you heard someone say. You turned and your eyes widened slightly, "Ukai-san?" "Yo, I haven't heard from you since two years ago." "Someone never called me, let alone text me," you smiled threateningly. "Sorry, sorry, I forgot to," Ukai apologized, laughing.

The others were puzzled at what was going on. "Wait, Coach, you know her?!" Tanaka and Nishinoya exclaimed."Simply put, she's my niece." "WHATTT, this beauty is???" they exclaimed again. "Are you guys calling me ugly?" Ukai smirked evilly. "What no, of course not, Coach," Tanaka protested. You chuckled. "Now, you guys need to practice more!" Ukai reminded them. "RIGHT!" they said running off.

You watched them play, staring at them intently. "Ukai-san, this team.. are they going to participate in the nationals?" Ukai gave a big smirk, "Of course they do! While they're not close to ready yet, I'll make sure they practice to death!" You blinked and smiled. As they continued playing, you watched them intently.

Nishinoya Yu. He's 17 and and he is in 2nd Year, Class 3. He was in Chidoriyama Junior High, a powerhouse school. He's quite a good libero although he needs to improve more for the nationals but for now, he's quite good.

"As usual, when you're thinking, you look really scary," Ukai said. You looked at him, "Really?"  He nodded response, already quite used to you. "..What about you? Are you still playing volleyball?" he asked. You hummed in response. "Why don't you play with them then, they could use some extra help. Especially those two over there," pointing to Kageyama and Hinata. Kageyama Tobio and Hinata Shouyou, huh. "Oh? Isn't that the famous King of the Court?" you said intentionally. Kageyama then turned to you and glared at you. "Oi. don't call me that." He still seems to hate that name. You smiled and said, "Let's play a match, 3 on 3." Ukai stared at you and whispered nervously, "Are you sure?" You whispered back, "It's fine, I'll make sure to go easy on them." You looked at Kageyama. "What do you say?" "...Fine," he muttered. Hinata on the other hand, was definitely cheerful about this. "YOSHHHH! A MATCH WITH [L/N]-SAN!!"

"Alright then. Kageyama, Hinata, Tsukishima and Nishinoya in one team and Sugawara, Daichi, Tanaka and [F/N] in the other," Ukai said. "I won't go easy on you, [L/N]!" Hinata said with an excited look in his face. You had never played against Hinata before after all. "You should say that when you can actually play good, shorty," scoffed Tsukishima. "Tsukishima!!" 

"Give the ball to me, Kageyama!!" Hinata shouted as he was about to jump. "Too bad," you smirked. Daichi and the rest stared in admiration at you except Ukai. "Wow, that was good!" Daichi exclaimed, Sugawara and Tanaka giving you a thumbs-up. You smiled at them.

"Okay, the match is over. 17-25, [F/N]'s team won. It's late now so you should all go home." "Tch, we lost," Tsukishima said, annoyed. How fun. "You should practice more and improve yourself then," you said. He didn't respond and went out while Yamaguchi apologized to you.

"Ukai-san, they did great, though they might have to improve, in their teamwork especially." Ukai stared at you and sighed, "Don't even try kidding me." You smiled at him. "How's things going with your studies?" "Good," you responded. "Did you tell them about me?" you asked. "..No.." You smiled at him, "I see."
