It was a Sunday morning. Arjun woke up by seven, woke up his mother, father and tried to wake up his sister. Don't worry, this happens only on Sunday, the busy free day.

From the purse, he takes a fifty-rupees note and two two-rupee coins, opens the door, and then comes back to get another two-rupee coin, for safety. See, two milk packets cost only fifty four rupees.

He pedals his cycle, with a leftist demeanour, to the nearby wholesale market. There, he finds Nethran. When Arjun entered, Nethran glances at the entrance. The outside glare blinded him and he returned to face the counter guy. Arjun goes to the far right side of the shop, tests and selects a ripe drumstick and goes behind Nethran.

He whipped him in such a way that two days worth of constipated crap suddenly pressed the doorbell. Nethran scrammed from the place. Arjun started laughing on seeing his miserable friend, not understanding his runaway. A bald uncle, wearing an infinite times serviced spectacles in a crooked way, had just eaten a banana and threw the peel down. Arjun laughed his was around, and laughed more, and slipped off the peel, landing to the ground with a thunderous impact.

This time, the people around broke into a laughter riot. Arjun got back up. He looked for two milk packets in the grocery Nethran had picked up and was about to bill for moments before. He paid the amount, struggling for the coins stuck deep down his pocket.

Sometime later, at home, as he sipped off the creamy tea, Nethran phoned him.

"Hey bro, sorry, shouldn't have wiped your ass with the stick, should have slapped you with full force and might, next time, okay?"

"Just because you are my friend for more than ten years, I am leaving you unharmed, mind you."

Arjun giggled hard, which sounded awkward through the phone.

"Okay, man. What happened to you, why run like a cheetah immediately?"

"Hmm, I got nature's call, nutella version."

"Eww"-Arjun slipped his arm hold on the phone's pedestal with his laughter.

Drinking not even a single drop of water on waking up , Arjun heard noisy burps inside his acid bag as he gulped down milk now. This was his call. He left his engaged phone on the table to attend another phone, a commode phone, relieving, that is, conveying the stuff to the rivers.

After disconnecting, his mother told him, "Go put the wet clothes on terrace."

"Ma, wait ma, I just worked on a thing. Don't give me another immediately."

"You don't need to put it, actually, you go switch on the AC and rest and relax. I will myself put them."

"Ma, that's not what I meant"-

"Now means now. Either you go put them or let me. The clothes will shrink."

"Fine."

After a short time, the weather being that of the stimulated, high performing sun, Arjun was vaporizing through his pores in the form of sweat.

He collapsed on the bed and slept.

At half past seven, his mother said to him,

"Nethran said he got those books."

The phone rang. It was Nethran.

"Bro, I got the books, though I couldn't get one. The DPP one, it was marked important in the list. Before I can tell you, your mother spoke, so I said to her"-

His mobile rang. He left the phone on and attended the other call.

"Ah, Arjun?... Ah, you got those books? Those I gave you, that list,... okay, good job, bring them tomorrow without fail, don't forget."

When the line got cut, "Fuckshit".

"Hello, Nethran, what's the name? Hmm, okay, Chemistry New-Pattern DPP, where can I get it now, idiot, I shouldn't have told you at all,...okay, that house, that uncle, he is available anytime you say,... cool, you are my bro, man,...send me the address,..."

"Arjun, buy one milk packet, darling"-

"What?...no, here dude...okay call you later, bye, wait...don't forget to leave the books at home, I mean, argh,..., bring the books to React, okay?,..bye."

"Arjun, that packet, you know, which we use for curd making?"

"I don't know, ma."

"It is not of twenty seven rupees, just twenty rupees, hmm, blue cover, standardised milk will be written on the cover, okay?"

"Blue, standardised, okay ma.

"Ma, actually I need to buy one chemistry book, sir asked me, so I need money."

"Textbook ah? Okay, take the five hundred rupees note from the drawer."

Arjun bought the milk and then went to the address Nethran gave. It was a long way off, he realized. He had said 15, Raj avenue.

But then Arjun realized there is one in nearby town too.

He called him, "Nethra, which area dude?...oh shit, so long off,..., why, it is not in any nearby store,...you asked every store, they said they don't have stock, ..., well, might be an unpopular book, don't know where he finds them..."

With a struggle of five kilometres, he went to the place. He parked his cycle nearby, locked it and then gathered a full look of the house in front of him. Suddenly he thought of what Nethran had said,

"Dude, I went to our shop, Priya Fancy Stores today also, thinking stock would have come but only that stupid guy was there, not his brother, ..., he did ultimate comedy, saying books are kidnapped, ..., yes, I couldn't control my laughter and giggled, he then said, why laughing, books got kidnapped, ..., stupid idiot he is, doesn't even know the difference between kidnapping and stealing, ..., or maybe he meant to say stock out, ..."

The night was very hot, just like the day. He smiled to himself and approached the front gate of the house.

Maybe, he should have ordered that book online.
