It had been one week since Asher and I had broken up and so far I'd done nothing but stay in bed reading and late night FaceTimes with Helen. Luckily for me he never said anything about the text. I was about to get in the shower when my phone beeped with a text from Vanessa it said "Call me ASAP." I debated just ignoring it but I decided Vanessa next said anything like that and she may be in trouble. "Hey Vanessa whats up?" I asked "The new kid Aidan is having a party and you are coming." She said "Come on Vanessa you know me I don't party" I said with a sigh "I don't care you need to get over that boy. He is last weeks news!" I took a moment to think about what she was saying and with a deep breath said "Fine text me the details but I need to go." We hung and I put on the Views podcast and hoped in the shower. I couldn't help but let my wander to what I was going to wear and who would be there. Yes I had gone to a few party like things in middle school but this was my first high school party. I was honestly a little nervous of what it would be like. After my shower I had a new pep in my step and finally got down to all the homework I had been avoiding. Looks like the start of high school wasn't that bad after all!
