Black Ice

Everyone went back to the base. Phoebe sat in the training area thinking about Jessica. Something was up with her. Tommy came over and saw Phoebe. "You okay?" He asked as he sat beside her. "Yeah why do you ask?" Phoebe asked. "Because you've been off to yourself ever since that speedster girl raced off." Tommy replied. Phoebe admitted that she knew the speedster and explained what they had done together. "There's something off about her now." She added. Tommy nodded. "You said you have seen since the whole Battle-whatever place right?" He asked. "Maybe something happened and she went rogue." Phoebe didn't like the sound of it, but at the same time didn't know how to argue. "How're you doing?" She asked. "I mean you did just kill an old partner." Tommy took a breath and nodded. "Yeah well he was starting destroy the city." He said. "It wasn't easy...but I couldn't let him hurt anyone." Meanwhile in another part of the city, a breach had opened and Frost Assassin stepped out. The moment of Tommy killing him flashed in his head. "You're dead Queen." He said. "I'll make sure of it." As he looked at the city a glow came from his side where he was stabbed. Penelope was standing outside the base when she noticed the air getting colder. The sky began to darken and a blizzard had started, a blizzard with black snow. She immediately raced inside to warn everyone. "Guys something's wrong." She said rushing into the main area. The screens revealed the strange weather all over the news. "We have confirmed information that Frost Assassin has survived his near death event with the new heroes of Star City." The news reporter said. "And apparently is now adding a new power to himself...you're about to witness live footage of the Metahuman in action." They said before the camera switched to a live stream of Frost Assassin in the middle of the city. He looked different, his hair and eyes were black with white streaks in his hair and silver pupils in his eyes. He was freezing most of the block and then saw the camera. He said nothing but created a sharpened black icicle and threw it, hitting the camera as a scream is heard from the cameraman. Cody then rewinded the footage and noticed the glow where the wound was. "That glow look familiar?" He asked Delilah. "That's the same glow as the Death Totem from the Legends files." Delilah replied. Tommy looked at the two of them. "Wait a minute." He said. "So you're telling me that the old partner of mine I just killed now has the literal power of death itself?" He asked. Delilah and Cody nodded. "And since it's inside him it's gonna be harder to get it away from him." He added. "Not to mention the hallucinations it'll give him." Tommy didn't like the sound of that. He also knew that Frost Assassin would be after him personally. "Well we beat him once." He said. "We can do it again." He then went to the arsenal to get his gear with Oliver behind him. "What do you want now?" Tommy asked. "I'm just checking on you." Oliver replied. Tommy shook his head. "Just stop okay?" He said. "I don't need a fake dad." Oliver took a breath and shook his head. "I'm not trying to replace him." He said. "I just want you to know I'm here for you." Tommy gathered his stuff and shook his head. "Why don't you just do that with William?" He asked. "Because you obviously haven't let it go through your skull that I haven't had my dad for years, and I don't need him or some look alike of him now." Before Oliver could say anything, Tommy left the arsenal and got suited up. "Let's go." He said as everyone else got ready. "Remember Tommy, there's a chance Charlie's still in there." Phoebe said. "If he is I'll be able to reach him." La'Raya looked at her. "The Death Totem reveals your deepest darkness." She explained. "We'll be lucky if he's there at all." Phoebe looked at La'Raya. "Whether or not the Totem has that much power over him," She said. "That's a risk I'm willing to take." Meanwhile in the middle of Star City, Frost Assassin was causing havoc spreading black colored ice across the city. "Frost Assassin!" Stealth Canary called out. "You need to stop this!" Frost Assassin looked at him and smirked. The wind started to pick up and become colder. Stealth Canary grabbed a Carbine Dagger and threw it at Frost Assassin. Frost Assassin then caught the dagger and black ice covered it, shattering when he threw it onto the ground. "That's not good." Stealth Canary said. Just then out of the corner of Frost Assassin's eye, Killer Frost appeared in her look from Savitar. "You finally found him." She said with a smirk. "Now's your chance to get back at him." Frost Assassin chuckled looking at Stealth Canary. "With pleasure." He said before blasting two black icicles at him. Penelope then blasted the icicles with demonic fire, causing them to evaporate. Phoebe then used the Reality Stone and went inside Frost Assassin's mind. It was dark and cold, sharpened icicles at every turn. "Charlie?" She asked with her voice echoing. A figure stood silently looking at Phoebe. She walked over and saw it was as if he was in a state of shock and wouldn't snap out of it. "Hey Charlie?" She asked shaking him a little. "It's not gonna work." A familiar voice said to her. She turned to see the Savitar appearance Killer Frost smirking at her. "I've got him wrapped around my finger." Killer Frost said. Phoebe shook her head at her. "You're not her." She said. "Who are you?" She asked. Killer Frost chuckled and told Phoebe she was clever. She walked over to her and blinked, her eyes completely red. "Maybe this will clear things up." She said with a demonic voice. "Once I'm finally free I'm getting my revenge on the Legends, and of course my partner has a world to conquer." She then walked to Charlie and handed him a small purple crystal. "Get rid of her." She ordered. Charlie launched the crystal and hit Phoebe. She was then transferred back to the real world and the Reality Stone removed itself and fell to the ground as she was sent through a purple portal that vanished quickly after she disappeared.
