Third Person POV

"Don't you dare leave me and our baby Max" Michelle gritted through her teeth.

"Listen to this, I'll be there just for the baby not for you. As soon as that baby comes out. I want a paternity test. What we did was a mistake" Max frustratedly shouted while pointing to Michelle's belly, were a bump was slightly visible but it was like she just ate a hearty meal.

He ran to the elevators pressed all the buttons with a bit force and one lift opened, He bolted inside and pressed the button to take him to the lobby.

He raked his hair for being angry at himself for getting neck deep more from stupid actions. He know too well that he fucked up Zoe big time.

He loves Zoe more than life itself. He knows it but he chose to be blind about it. Now he was running out of viable options to get her back.

He wants to spend the rest of his life with her and their child, maybe expanding it more into a football team and live somewhere peaceful and an environment where they can raise their team away from the prying eyes of paparazzi and gossip vultures.

A smile and a heartwarming feeling crept all over his body but it was cut short and he went back into the reality again when he heard the elevator dinged. He hurried off the lift and passed by the reception area of the lobby. He pushed people who were blocking his way. Some barked curses at him for being rude and some were just too stunned that their boss was running like a mad man on the loose.

He turned his head to different directions, scanning the area for Zoe then his eyes fell to the girl he loved.

He shouted with all his might, ordering to stop to where she was but it was fruitless. As soon as Zoe heard his voice, she sped off from walking to running.

Max's heart was beating erratically, he felt like throwing up all his internal organs on the streets.

Why did it came to this? It was last like yesterday they were happy skinny dipping by the pond and now they were having a cat and mouse chase.

He wanted to explain and plead for forgiveness but Zoe suddenly became deaf from everything.

He was beyond hurt from seeing her all broken and he knows that he did it to her.

They were reaching the end of the road and people were still blocking his way having an unclear sight of Zoe, who keeps on running away from him.

How he wished he didn't looked at a different direction, he should have looked straight because out of nowhere, a car speeding off hit Zoe on the process, throwing her body a few meters away.

He saw it on full slow motion, he saw every thing unfold. How Zoe's body twirl in the air and heard a sickening thud on the ground was imprinted on his mind.

His whole life was sucked out of his body. He watched the love of his life get hit by a SUV.

He felt beyond scared more than ever in his life as he saw his pregnant girlfriend lying cold on the pavement with blood flowing in between her thighs.
