Julien's song for Zoe.

Zoe's POV

"Where are we going to eat?" I looked at my left side to see Julien.

"It is a surprise. I know you will like it" he flashed me a mischievous smile with a wink.

I blushed at how gorgeous he is, slowly shifting my attention I took out my phone and there was a text from Max.

Hey baby, just checking if you are alright - Max

I groaned at his text, my stomach constricted from the anger for him. I can still feel the instinct that something happened between Max and his secretary. I just can't say if it is really true or I was becoming a psycho girlfriend, I really need a solid evidence.

I'm going out for lunch - Zoe

I clutched on my phone and it started to beep, glancing at the screen it was Max.

Have fun. I'm going on a lunch meeting.. I miss you baby - Max

I frowned and quickly put my phone inside the bag, then I noticed that Julien was analyzing me.

"Something wrong?" He asked concern filled his voice. "Just Max" I smiled weakly, he nodded as a reply. we both sat there in complete silence and I was looking at the buildings that we passed by.

"We're here Zoe" Julien lightly tapped my leg, his head was motioning me to alight the car.

"there is the restaurant that I love" he was puckering his lips to point the restaurant since his hands were holding the bags. It was a modern Japanese restaurant, the view from the other side of the street was laid back classy type. I looked at my clothes, it was inappropriate for my attire unlike the suits and dresses inside the restaurant.

"If you are worrying about your clothes, don't be. I got your back" he said assuringly. "I'm really under dressed for the restaurant" I was dusting an invisible lint thinking that it will change into an LBD. "You worrywart! The owner of this restaurant is my bestfriend so we will be okay" he transferred the bag to his other hand, putting the freehand at my back.

We crossed the street and entered the restaurant. I was mesmerized by the design, there were paintings of geisha and samurai warriors hanging on the wall. Samurai helmets and swords were displayed around the room and the each table have enough space for privacy and bead curtains were used as a divider.

"Kon'nichiwa! Welcome to Tatsuya. Table for 2?" A well groomed man dressed in a sark blue kimono assisted us. "Yes" Julien politely answered and we were ushered to our table it was almost at the back of the restaurant and it was intimate but comfortable.

Julien placed the bags on the floor and helped me in my seat, I mumbled a thank you and he sat at the opposite side. A man in his late 40's walked to our table with a bright smile on his face "good afternoon Mr. Atkins, sorry but Mr. Matsumoto is still busy for an important client" his smile vanished and he looked apologetic, I carefully looked at Julien but he gave the man a smile and a small laugh.

"Nah, it's ok Robert, I understand that Yuki is always busy so don't look glum. Instead can we have the menu, this lovely lady here is already famished" he joked at the man and immediately gave us the menu and I blushed at his remark.

After scanning the whole menu and everything is alien to me so Julien decided to end my agony and ordered for us. Robert turned on his heels and walked out of our booth. a waiter placed a hot tea in front of us.

I was sipping my tea when Julien started to speak. "You looked kinda pissed off while we were in the cab, care to share?" He said bluntly and I was surprised from his bluntness. "Nothing serious, he just check up on me that's all" I faked a smile but it didn't convinced him.
