Ghosts of My Past

(Sonic's POV)

I was still laid in bed due to Amy's orders. It was annoying honestly. I wanted to go look for the damn culprit who shot me and put my girl in danger.

Amy said she'd be back soon, so until then I'm here just cause she asked me to. But once she's here, I'm getting to work.

As I got lost in my thoughts for possible enemy's, Knuckles came in with a tray of food. He set it down on my lap and sighed stretching a bit.

I looked at the food noticing a note. I grabbed it and when I opened it I read it contents.

"Hope you enjoy Sonic! I had my best cook make you a 5 star rating breakfast. Eat it ALL, I'll be back by 1:30 so be patient for me. Till then enjoy!". I chuckled and grabbed my phone checking the time. '1:22pm' She'll be here soon.

I start munching down on the food since I knew I'd earn hell if she came in with all the food still there.

I sighed happily as I ate and started eating faster before groaning. I wrapped my arm around my stomach and I leaned back a bit. 'Dammit! Today's gonna be such a damn pain!' I thought and clenched my teeth.

I looked at Knuckles who was standing there waiting for me to finish my food. I raised my brow at him "I'll be done in a bit Knux, I'll call for you when I'm done."

He nodded and turned away. He walked to the door before hesitating to leave.

He turned to face me a bit and mumbled "We've started on the search for those jerks already. Tails is looking through Amy's security cameras right now." before leaving.

I nodded and went back to my breakfast loving the way it tasted. My breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, hash-browns, and some coffee on the side. It wasn't to much thankfully, but damn was it filling.

It had been a while since I had a proper breakfast and knowing Ames as well I do, she'd be quit pissed about it.

I soon finished and sat up more putting the tray aside. I slowly scoot to the edge of the bed and sit there on the edge. As I did the door opened to reveal a beautiful pink hedgehog. My beautiful pink hedgehog.

I smiled softly at her and slowly stood up. She rushed towards me and gave me a gentle hug while at the same time easing me to sit back down.

She slowly slid onto my lap and straddled me with her legs. I chuckled at this and hugged her as tightly as my wound let me.

"I missed you so much Sonic." She mumbled as she nuzzled her face into my neck. I ran my fingers through her quills and sighed happily "I missed you too Ames."

She giggled and slowly got off me. She tilted her head a bit before offering her hand to me "Let's go get to work."

I nodded and accepted her hand before slowly standing up. I stood in front of her and kissed her forehead gently "Come in." I said and lead her out the room.

(Amy's POV)

I looked around as I watched everyone doing what they needed to do. My meeting with the two idiots went okay in the end, but I still held onto my no.

Who did they think I was? Charity? Ha! Not in a billion years!

I kept looking around before my eyes rested on Sonic. He looked pained but also happy at the same time. His eyes looked refreshed and well rested which meant me forcing him to stay in bed did him good.

He glanced at me and smirked "What?" He asked softly and leaned close to my ear. He nibbled it playfully, causing a giggle to escape my lips.

"N-Nothing sweetie. I was just admiring what's mine." I said cockily. He laughed at that and put his arm around my waist.

"Mhm while you do that I'll hold what's mine." He growled into my ear making me shiver a bit. He then set us down in some seats in front of a large table. The table was round and had eight seats all around.

It was in a slightly dark room only lit by three lights above us. I kept looking around while Sonic held onto my hand "So Knuckles told me they got into researching about the shooting yesterday." He grumbled to me.

I turned around and looked at him "Really? What does he have so far?" I asked and sat up more in my seat, clear interest in my eyes.

He sat up as well " Not sure. He said Tails was looking through your security cameras. I haven't got any more info than that."

I nodded slowly and slowly stood "Well then. Let's go see what they've got so far." I say and stretch.

He nodded and stood as well. He grabbed my hand and lead me out the small dark room. He took me towards the other side of the large building and towards a office that look actually quit large compared to the room from before. When we entered it was filled with stacks and stacks of papers. Behind all those stacks were lots of computers used by the one and only yellow fox.

Tails looked up from one of the screens a bit startled but soon relaxed. "Oh hey guys. What can I help you with?" He asked as I went to stand next to him while Sonic when to his other side.

We looked at his screen which showed my house and the fence in front. It showed people shooting at each other and lots of death. Obviously the scene of what happened.

Tails looked back at the screen "Oh I'm guess Knuckles told you what I was doing." We nodded "Welp sorry to disappoint but I haven't found anything obvious yet." He mumbled in disappointment to himself.

I looked at the screen more intently and furrowed my brows "Wait...stop the video." I mumbled. Tails paused it and I stared at the screen.

On the screen stood a person in front of all the corpses along with the survivors behind them. They had a mask and black clothing on but the way they held themselves and the way the seemed to yell at the others made a memory click. I frowned and looked down at they're ankles. Only one thing could confirm my suspicion.

"Tails zoom in on their feet." I asked and he did so.

I stared harder and gasped. I covered my mouth and backed away bumping into a pile of papers. "It can't be..." I mumbled to myself as shook in fear. Sonic came to me and looked at me worriedly.

"What is it Ames? You look like you've seen a ghost..." he said and put his hands on my shoulders to try and calm me.

I looked at him, horror in my eyes. "I know him...."

Hi guys! So since y'all want more chapters and less words that's what I'll start doing. I've also bee meaning to ask something else. I will be starting a new book not based on sonamy so I already know what I'll be doing thee but I wanted to know if you guys wanted lemon in this book or not.
