Protecting Her

(Sonic's POV)

    I looked at the paper work and groaned to myself. I've been sat here for hours trying to track down that idiota who hurt Amy when she was younger.

    When she told me about her past it made me so damn mad. My poor Amy went though some shit and now he's trying to get her again.

    I won't let that happen.

    Over my dead body.

    I sighed and sat back in my chair rubbing my side where I got shot. What a pain this was getting to be.

    Not a moment later Shadow came in and looked at me. He scoffed and I glared "What?" I asked as he dropped himself in the empty chair in front of my desk.

    "You've been here the whole day and all of yesterday." He answered.

    I shrug and sit up "So what? I need to find this guy and bring him down before he even lays a finger on her. Amy's in danger and it's my job to protect her." I say and stand up.

   Shadow stood up with me and put his hands on the desk eyeing me "No. You're job is to keep this gang together and make us efficient. You're just going off doing whatever you want and for what? A girl you met about a month or two ago?" He growled and glared hard at me.

    I scowled and walked around the table to get in his face "I'm your fucking leader you better watch your damn tone with me..." I growled lowly making even him back off a bit.

   He sighed and put his hands up in defense "Fine. But you have to think about the consequences this will have on the gang. Remember she used to be the ene-"

   "And now she's our ally. Together. Me and her could take over all the territories and bring all other gangs to their knees. Our relationship is making not only our gang stronger, but way more efficient then it was before. So if you have anything else to say Shadow take it up with my gun..." I say and turn around walking out the office so he couldn't say anything else.

   Shadow stayed there a moment a bit shocked before rubbing his temples "Don't go blind faker..." he mumbled and left the office as well.

(Amy's POV)

    I toss a dull pocket knife into the trash and turn to look at Tikal who was watching me clean out my weapons case she brought me from home after it was scouted.

   Tikal walks over to me and tilts her head "Are you sure you want to go along with Sonic's orders?" I scoff.

   "Okay one, they're not orders and two he really wants me to remain armed and hidden. I mean I'm always armed, but not being able to go out is different. I mean that's why I kept my face a secret. But it's what he asked of me. He even went as far as to locate all his top secret safe houses for me to choose from so I wouldn't be uncomfortable." I sigh and toss a throwing knife at the wall. It stabbed into the wall exactly where I aimed it.

    She nodded and then did multiple backflips along with a fun looking summersault to show her flexibility and speed  "I know but the gang is always here to protect you and your heavily guarded when you go out unless you order for some privacy like you do for your dates with Sonic." She said wanting me to know she's here to protect me and advise me.

   I smile gently at her "I know. I just don't want him constantly worrying about me." I say softly.

   "Oh come on Amy you're our gang leader. He should always be worried." She said and I laughed. "Plus who was it who saved his life when he was kidnapped?" She asked as she nudged her shoulder with mine.

    I giggled "Me of course" I say confidently and sigh "I guess I could talk to him about it." I mumble and go over to the wall with my throwing knife stuck to it.

    I put my foot against the wall and pull it out roughly "I'm just a bit scared..." I say and turn around leaning against the wall "He's haunted my dreams since I escaped him. He literally my boogyman." I say and I get stunned with fear as I think back to my past.

    Tikal looked at me with worry and sadness "I understand why you're afraid. No one in the gang will allow that man near you. Everyone even some guys from Sonic's gang are hear for you. Sonic will be like glue to you also so you're safe." She said and smiled reassuringly at me.

    I sigh and lean my head back "Yeah, I'm a putain de gang leader. I'm supposed to be the plus courageux here." I say and rub my eyes as tears formed.

   She nodded "Yeah but you're only a hedgehog. All of us have feelings and sometimes we can't deal with them. Even fear. We all get scared sometimes" she said while still smiling.

    I nodded and smiled back at her "You're right. Thanks a lot Tikal." I say and then hug her. She giggled and hugged back before we both pulled away "Come on I bet Sonic is searching all over for you by now." She says and I laugh nodding before leaving the room with her.

Don't kill me I've been very busy but here goes the next part! I really hope you enjoy the story. I had fun writing it so I want to see you guys enjoying it. See ya guys later!!!!
