Chapter 16.

Date: 21 December.

~Kendall~

The sun was shining through the closed curtains. Neymar and I had fallen asleep on the couch. My head was on his chest while his arms were around me. I could stay like this forever. I needed to check what the time was so I began to move slowly trying to get out of Neymar's grip while trying to do so by not waking him. It was 6:01am. Why was I awake so early?

"Kendall." Neymar mumbled.

"Sorry I wanted to see what the time was, go back to sleep." I started rubbing his arm.

"Why were you crying last night?" Neymar started to get up. He was now sitting on the couch but his arms were still around me.

"It's nothing Ney-"

"You promised me." His eyes were filled with sorrow.

"I don't think Kristina and I are friends anymore." Tears began forming again.

"Do you think I'm getting in between you two?" Neymar's eyes became watery knowing the answer.

"Neymar, life is just getting so hard for me right now." My hands covered my face. Crying was my only choice.

"Kendall.."

"Ssh, you don't need to speak Neymar. I love you, like a lot. But I need some time to think." My tears were pouring uncontrollably.

"I love you Kendall. If you need me, I'm just down the hall okay?" He put his hand on my face and wiped my tears.

I leaned in slowly and kissed his lips.

"Don't miss me too much." I smiled.

He replied by grabbing me into a tight hug. My hearts never hurt so much before.

*8:55am*

~Neymar~

I sat on the couch watching tv. Two and a Half Men was on. I always watch this show when I need to laugh.

It just wasn't working for me today. I missed her.

I picked up my phone and began texting Kendall, but I knew that would make it worse.

Today was going to be a long day for me, I needed to go to the mall at 12:00pm and then at 17:45pm I had practice.

I was going to get ready when my phone vibrated with a few texts.

"Olá Neymar, I'll be bringing Davi at 10:00am - Carolina."

Oh shoot, I forgot I was having Davi for Christmas this year!

"Hey bro, don't forget you need to come to Brazil on the 24th. We will be hosting a Christmas Party with Columbia and Spain. - Oscar."

And I completely forgot about that as well. What's wrong with you Neymar?!

"I miss you. ❤️ - Kendall."

*knock knock*

"I'll be right there." I got up from the couch and headed towards the door.

"Olá." It was the domestic worker / maid / housekeeper.

"Olá, come on in. The apartments kind of clean so there's not much work to be done today." I gave a friendly smile.
