(1) The Promise

-16 years ago-

It was December 6th at 4 in the morning when the mid-wife for the wolf packs was called. She rushed out immediately to the Baylors' house hold. All the wolf packs live out in the country side of Macon Georgia and mainly keep to themselves. 

Norah the mid-wife was met by Ryan Baylor known to the community as the owner of B&B auto shop that he runs with his best friend James Barnes. "She's in the guest room." Ryan said as he shut the door behind them. 

"Alright Rosalie let's check ya shall we." Norah said 

Norah checked Rosalie's cervix "Okay we are at 7 and half honey." she said 

Three hours later Rosalie was ready to push. By that time all the wolf packs were waiting as Ryan and James and their families are known for being one of the bigger packs. A 5 year old Bucky walked over to his dad and tugged his shirt.

"daddy what are we doing just standing around I"m hungry I want to play." he said 

"James son we are waiting for Rosalie to have her baby so we know if it's a boy or a girl. Max is going to be a big brother like you are to Becca." James said 

"But daddy this is boring I'm bored and hungry." Bucky said 

"You'll be alright' he said as he tousled his hair and Bucky went back to the couch to pout. 

Everyone heard Rosalie screaming as she pushed out her baby at 755 AM. The mid-wife looked at Ryan and Rosalie. "It's a girl." she said as she cleaned her up and wrapped her up. Rosalie started to feed her and Ryan said "Shiloh Novalee Baylor" 

"Perfect" Rosalie said 

Ryan walked out to the wolf packs once she was done eating and said" Welcome to the wolf community a tiny omega named Shiloh Novalee." 

James came over "Oh she's beautiful Ryan." 

"I know she's gonna be so beautiful. Now whose not been promised yet?' Ryan said as the alphas all came over. "The only that has a son that's not been promised is your son James" Joe Rogers said 

James said "We need all alpha boys on the couch" 

All the little boys sat down with Bucky on the couch. "If your son has a omega promised to him please place it in his lap." Ryan said 

Everyone started to do place omegas just Rosalie came into the room. Bucky was the only one left without one. James took Shiloh and started towards Bucky "Daddy.." he said 

He placed Shiloh in his lap "She's gonna be your omega one day she's being promised to you. You protect her from afar do you understand son?" James said 

He shook his head yes "She's very tiny daddy." he whispered

"I know." James said 

Shiloh started to get a little fussy Bucky looked at her "It's okay Shiloh I'm here don't cry. I will always protect you " he said as he kissed her forehead.
