(8) Alpha and Omega

On January 5th Shiloh woke having contractions Bucky was still sleeping so she quietly got up and started to pace the kitchen she was gripping the counter tops as a strong ripped through her. She let out a loud moan in pain which woke up Bucky and he looked beside him "Shiloh" he whispered 

"Shiloh" he said as he pulled on his boxers. 

He came out to find her in the kitchen "Baby why didn't you wake me." he said 

She continued to moan and cry in pain. "Okay I'm gonna call Norah baby as well as the rest of the family." Bucky said then he heard water hitting the floor. 

"Shiloh baby come on let's get in the room that was your water breaking." he said 

He helped her laid down on the guest bed and he called Norah and the rest of the family. Bucky sat beside her and held her hand till he had to let Norah in as well as the rest of the family. Norah checked her cervix "Okay we are at 8cm dilated." 

"Oh god.." Shiloh cried out as she looked up at the ceiling as she was covered in sweat and tears.. 

Bucky went out to inform the family of what Norah told them. "Shiloh..Shiloh" Norah said as she ran over to her and put a oxygen mask on her. Bucky went running back into the room "What happened?' he said 

"Her blood pressure is bottoming out and it's causing the babies to go into distress." Norah said as she started to rub lidocaine all over Shiloh's stomach. "What are you doing?' he said

"I'm using lidocaine to numb her stomach and hope it will be enough. It's been enough in the past but with moms that have had babies before the twins." Norah said

"James" Shiloh whispered through tears he looked at her and saw the fear in her eyes. "Shh I'm right here baby I'm not going to leave you. Shh keep your focus on me baby okay. Just keep your eyes on me." he said 

Norah had Rosalie and Winnie to come in and help since they are both nurses. Norah started to cut into Shiloh's stomach. "Shh" Bucky said as she screamed as he held her face with their foreheads together. 

"Alright Twin A is here and it's a boy." Norah said as she let Bucky cut his cord.

Rosalie took him to get him cleaned up then Norah said "Twin B is here and it's a girl." as Winnie took her to get her cleaned up and checked out. Norah put Shiloh back together and stitched her back up as she cried. Bucky said "Shh baby you are doing good we are almost done then we can name them hold them okay shh Shiloh I'm right here don't cry I'm always here to protect you." 

Norah finished up and told her to keep the oxygen mask on for a few more minutes. Bucky hugged her so tight 'Oh god baby we did it." he said 

Rosalie and Winnie brought the twins over and let them hold them and gave them their family time before they introduce them to the family and pack. Shiloh fed both twins Bucky was holding their son and he said "Alexander James and she will be named Adeline Jane" 

Norah said "You guys ready." as she brought in a wheelchair. 

She helped Shiloh easily sit down and Bucky wheeled her out as she held her twins. He said with a very shaky voice. "Um we would like to introduce our son Alexander James and our daughter Adeline Jane." he said 

Ryan and James looked at Shiloh and Ryan said'Norah what the hell happened." 

"I had to do a c section her blood pressure was bottoming me out she passed out from shock which caused them to go into distress so I numbed her stomach with lidocaine the best I could but it wasn't enough." 

"We won't do promises tonight James" James said 

"Yeah" he said 

James came over and hugged him "It's gonna be okay she's okay." James said 

Everyone came over hugged them both and looked at the twins. That night Bucky watched her sleep as well as the twins. He kissed her forehead "I'm so glad you are okay baby I love you" 

"I love you too." she whispered. 

He smiled at her when she looked over at him and he kissed her lips.
