"Okay, so... You got this HUGE planet, right?" the woman made finger guns at the boy and winked. "Now, imagine... Imagine the ENTIRE face of the planet is covered in a lush tropical forest with beautiful blue oceans..."

"BUT I WANT CITIES!" the boy exclaimed. The woman placed her hands on the boy's shoulders. "Okay, okay... Sure! There are magnificent cities sprawled across the landscape. Giant ships fill the skies, and towering citadels that boast of the glory of civilizations stand guard amidst the rivers..." The woman then clasps her hands together, and starts giggling. "These magnificent cities have skyscrapers that reach high into the clouds, with majestic waterfalls and lush greenery incorporated in their designs..."

The boy picked up a toy spaceship from the ground. "Then how do they move around?" he asked. The woman guided his hand to swerve the toy in the air. "By spaceships! Of course! Everyone will have their own spacecraft that will let them fly anywhere they want at any time!"

The boy stood up, then jumped around in elation. "What do the people like doing?" the boy asked. The woman smiled. "Anything, of course! There will be a lot of beautiful art! Imagine exotic dances from each region, thousands of museums with amazing artwork, countless hours of music and culture... Oh, and on top of that, food options that extend way past the horizons that the eye can see."

"That sounds great! I want to live there!" the boy exclaimed. The woman giggled. "Yes! You can live there!"

The boy sat down beside the woman, and touched her warm hands. "Is it going to be better there than where we came from?" The woman closed her eyes for a while, then held onto the boy's hand. "Earth's gone... We can never go back..." The woman then retracted her arms towards her waist, and clenched her fists. Her face a little distraught, she bit her lips and then tapped on the boy's shoulder. "We will make it and survive, we always do... But it's not going to be easy..."

The boy looked back at her, confused. "What do you mean!" he asked. The woman looked down at the floor, away from the boy. "It's dangerous... There are huge waves, floods, extremely harsh terrain... You might not even make it ..."

The boy is visibly shaken. His eyes are wide open, staring at the teared-up eyes of his mother. "I love you." The mother spoke, one last time, as her image faded away into the blank recesses of the man's memory.

The man slumped down against a beached cargo box. Heavy rain and thunderstorms blanketed the entire coast, as shards of metal and residual wreckage floated up in sight. Loud, thunderous booms crack the skyline as heavy waves pummel the cliffs. Freezing winds and torrential acidic rain assault the remnants of the vessel, sending scraps and chunks flying off violently into the cliff faces. Orange balls of flame that cover the debris that fall off the sinking chassis disappear into the massive waves.

The man is weeping.

He mourns.

A nearby box starts to make a noise. It emits a holographic figure with a glitchy interface:
