My morning starts the same way: I am late to breakfast because I am in the bathroom getting ready and cleaning up after my older brothers, I reach the table and all the eggs and bacon are gone so I grab a yogurt and then I rush out the door for school. I am Grey... Grey Lawerence and I go to Lincoln High. I am the girl who is an outcast at school, along with my friends: Mitch Feifer, Leo Kine, Ginger McCauley, and Karson Fisher.

I open the doors to Lincoln High for the second time in my high school years. I'm a sophomore. I try to stay clear of the populars: Cori Hamilton , Asher Kine, Brady Daccer, Mac Showenfield, and Laine Sharp. My locker is on the left side, right by the science lab. I start to paste photographs of my friends, added pictures of volleyballs, and decorate it as much as I can before school starts. The bell rings and I'm off for gym.
I walk in to the gym in our new school colors: gold & blue. I saw that the gym was set up for volleyball. A tall, 15-year old girl's delight. My team includes Mitch, Mac, a guy named Freddy, my volleyball rival Alex, and my crush Blake Saunders. I am very competitive, so I reassure myself that I am calm and mellow. Usually this method helps for a couple of minutes before Coach Clements makes a wrong call and I start to argue. Arguing is one of my strengths. I don't know why, but it does come in handy sometimes.
Next class, math. Ughhhhhh! I hate math. I also know that the math teacher has had hatred on our family ever since my eldest brother Caleb glued the chalk to the chalkboard. I walked in Room 109 ready for the embarrassment about to come:
"Miss Lawerence, I was surprised to see your name on my class list.,"said Mrs. Peters.
"You should have took a look beforehand. Even I would have done that!,"I replied.
Everybody laughed.
"Sit down, Miss Lawerence!,"Mrs. Peters boomed.
"Ok, ok!"
I knew that this would be a long semester and I would be popular in this class.

Finally, the day is over. I thought it would never come. Time for homework , Cookie Crumble Bakery, and friends. Mitch, Karson, Leo, Ginger, and I took the bus to get to the bakery. As soon as I walked into the shop, the room filled with the aroma of Hershey's cocoa, cinnamon, and happiness. I looked around and wondered where Karson's grandmother was. Her grandmother owned the bakery.
"Karson, where's your grandmother?," I asked.
"Oh, she's just in the back . Let's go see her."
Grandmother Fisher was starting a batch of red velvet cupcakes. She poured in the flour, sugar, and added red dye to it. She preheated the oven to 350*F and went back to mixing the dye. She pulled out a cupcake tin and poured the mixture into the tin. She put the tin into the oven and it started to cook.
"I'm going to run to the little woman's room", said Grandma Fisher, wiping her hands on her apron,
"can you run the shop for a few minutes?"
Karson replied,"Sure."
Karson showed me the display of all the desserts and pastries. She showed me how to open the miniature sliding doors and how to pull out the desserts. She went to the cash register and waited for our first customer. The door opened and Little Sophie Sharp and her overly tattooed and pierced mother came in too.
"Hello, welcome to the Cookie Crumble Bakery. What treat would you like?,"I asked.
"I would like the cinnamon roll, and Sophie would like a red velvet cupcake! Make it snappy!,"the mother said, practically yelling.
When I was finally done getting that sound out of my head, "I'm sorry, we are out of red velvet cupcakes. There is a batch that will be ready in about 2 minutes."
"What kind of bakery has no red velvet cupcakes!,"screamed the mother.
The buzzer went off.
"Let me go get the cupcakes for you!," I said sarcastically.
I pulled the tin out of the oven and let Sophie choose the one she wanted. Then, they went to the cash register where Karson was punching in numbers. Finally, the Sharp's chose a table and the mom and Sophie started to bite into their delicious little treats. When I thought all was going well, I turned back
to Karson, where she was smiling. I laughed under my breath a little.
************************************
"I'm going to sue you!"
Why? It wasn't me!,"I replied.
"Oh, come on, you were the one who went back into the oven room to grab the cupcakes! You were the one who put poison in them!,"said the mother.
This is where Sophie was in a hospital bed because someone had put poison in the cupcakes that Sophie had chosen. I will find the culprit that did it. I knew that the case will be hard to solve, but I will not stop until I do. I also knew that the possible people had to be at the bakery. The only people at the bakery that day that could do it were: Mitch Feifer, Karson Fisher, Leo Kine, Ginger McCauley, and Cori Hamiliton. I will start with Karson (a.k.a. Kitten Karson).
