I had woken up many hours ago. I had had a delightful breakfast: Eggs, bacon, waffles, and OJ. I gotten to Lincoln High right on time. Everything was going great, so far. I went to say hi to Grey and we walked to our next classes. I had home economics, and Grey had gym. We turned the corner and I disappeared into the classroom.

Mrs. Bridge was hemming up one of her pairs of jeans. I walked in slowly and the room was set up for cooking scrambled eggs. I love to cook breakfast. Soon, all the other kids filed in: Laine Sharp, my enemy Cori Hamilton, a guy named Max, someone who I had never seen before, and a bunch of other kids. I start to pull out the eggs and use my special egg cracking technique to finish before the other kids. I turned the grill to 350*F and let the eggs sit and cook.

After Home Ec, I have dance class, my most favorite class. I walked in with my friend Ginger, and we said hello to Mrs. Rucks and began to stretch. Mrs. Rucks started to show us the Cat Daddy. Once my last class ended, I met up with Mitch, Leo, Grey, and Ginger and we took the bus to get to the bakery. I walked inside and it smelled of red velvet, cinnamon, and my grandmother.

"Hey Karson, where's your grandmother?,"Grey asked me.

"She's in the back! Let's go say hi!"

Grandma was mixing a batch of red velvet cupcakes. I also saw that Leo was workingon a cake. Leo had gotten a job working here. As Grandmother finished baking her cupcakes, she asked if me and Grey ran the bakery for a while. I showed Grey how to open the doors and grab the treats. I walked to the cash register. Soon, our first customer walked in, Sophie Sharp and her mother. Grey went back into the kitchen and got the red velvet cupcakes. What we didn't know was that someone put poison in them!

The next day at school, Grey started acting suspicious. She came up to me and asked me:

"Karson, you were at the bakery when Sophie was poisoned. Did you have anything to do with it?"

I was shocked. I replied, "No, I was ringing up the Sharp's treats! You saw me!"

Grey suddenly looked sad. I hope I have not ruined Grey's investigation. Later that day, I asked Grey if she was okay. She was seeming more happy than she was this morning.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I am trying to find out who poisoned the cupcakes."

"Ok, sorry for yelling."

She accepted my apology. Me and Grey walked to the crime scene together to investigate.
