Chapter Five:Forgiveness

Nicole's Pov

I woke up in my car to the sound of my phone ringing .It was pouring raining outside. I sat my seat up and looked at my caller ID which read "my old man <3"

"What Dad?"I answered. I looked in the review mirror at my raccoon eyes.My mascara smeared from my Dad throwing me out earlier and making me cry.

"Honey,where are you?"He asked softly.

"Why do you care?Didn't you say me and my baby are on our own?"I replied with a flat tone.I am so pissed off at my Daddy for responding the way he did.I know he is upset,but come on.Being a man of God he is suppose to handle situations differently.

"Look Nikki,I am so sorry for responding the way I did..can you just come home so we can talk?"He asked.I let out a deep breath and closed my eyes.I can tell my Dad was being sincere.He never calls me Nikki unless something is wrong or he is sad or sorry for something.

"Okay Dad,I'll be there in ten."I replied before hanging up.

When I walked in the door it was quiet.The kitchen light was on.The smell of chocolate chip pancakes coming from it.I walked in there to see my Daddy putting pancakes on two plates.

"Come here baby."He held out his arms and embraced me in a big hug.I hugged him back.As we sat there and held each other I felt something we drop on my cheek.I looked up to see my Daddy crying.

"Dad....why are crying? "I asked quietly.

"I just feel so bad for how I treated you,you need me right now and how I reacted was totally not called for."He said.He whiped a tear from his eye and ran his hand across my blonde locks.

"You're my little princess you know?I am Dad I am suppose to protect you from things like this."He He said.He sat in a chair and put his head in his hands.

"Daddy,it isn't your fault. I am the one who slept with Cody,this was my mistake not yours."I said.I put my hand over his and sat in a chair in front of him.

"So you plan on keeping this kid?"He asked looking at me.

"What..?"I asked a little taken back.

"Do you plan on taking on the responsibility of being a Mother so young?"He asked.

I looked at him for a few seconds.I think abortion is disgusting and selfish, and adoption. ...well I don't want in strangers raising my baby.I had sex so it's my responsibility.

"Well,honestly ya. ..I mean it's going to be hard but I can do this."I replied.

"What about the guy Cody you slept with,does he even know yet?"My Dad asked.I just shook my head. I do not know how I am going to tell some stranger I am carrying their son or daughter.

"I do not know how I am going to tell him,Dad what if he blows me off?"I asked.My mood suddenly going a little down hill thinking about it.

"Well you have me,and Mommy and Jesse..we are all here for you,and love you."My Dad said.He looked me in the eyes and gave me a kiss on my forehead.

"I love you Dad."I said.

"I love you too baby girl."He gave me a warm smile.

"Now lets eat those pancakes. "He said happily. I loved my Dad's chocolate chip pancakes.It was the small meal we had everytime he was sorry for something when I was a kid.We sat there and muched on our pancakes.At one in the morning.
