Nicole's Pov
It has been about a week since Cody suddenly had a change of heart and told me he wanted to be in our daughter's life. Things have been great but I'm still not sure if i should believe him.
Today I have a check up at the doctors to check on my baby girl. I'm already 25 weeks pregnant, half way through. I can't wait for baby girl to be born though. I'm starting to feel uncomfortable and have to use a pregnancy pillow.
"Hey Nicole I'll be out in the car to take you to your appointment" my mom peeled her head in my room and told me.
"Actually Mom, Cody is taking me." I said putting my hair in a messy bun.
"Ohhhh, when did he make a change?" My mom asked looking confused.
"About a week ago, he randomly came by and took me out saying he wanted to be in the baby's life." I'm still shocked by this.
"Oh well I hope he keeps it up." My mom said leaving the room.
"Btw we are having Chinese take out for dinner tonight I don't feel like cooking." She said before closing the door.
-at the doctors-
"Alrighty Miss Franzel here is your baby girl." Fr Garcia said. I smiled and looked at the 3D sonogram of my child.
"Oh man she's sucking her thumb that's so cute!" I squealed.
"And it looks like she looks like her Daddy too." Cody chuckled.
"Hey now don't get to excited we won't know yet until she comes out!" I said poking Cody.
"Have you thought of any names yet?" Dr Garcia asked.
"Nope, not yet. I want it to be something special." I answered
"Okay well Nicole, I'm gonna go and print out your sonogram pictures and you'll be good to go." Dr Garcia said happily before leaving them room.
After the doctors Cody and I went and walked on the beach. We still have so much to talk about. I really want him to prove to me that he wants in on this.
"Wow look at her she's beautiful already." Cody said to me as he looked at the sonogram picture. We were sitting on a towel watching the sunset.
"Cody do you really want to be in this baby's life? Are you sure you're ready to become a Dad?" I asked.
"Of course....I mean we are young yes, but I don't want to leave you to be a single Mom doing it all on your own."
"And how do I know you won't just leave? What if it gets to overwhelming for you and you decide to split?" I am clearly paranoid. I've seen this happen to many times. Daddies leaving their baby mommas high and dry to raise their children.
"Nicole you have my word. I promise I will always be by your side through this." He said with a huge smile on his face. He took my hand and kissed it.
"I'm not going anywhere..." he assured.
