Great, I'm still recovering but I figured out why the rads in the air was enough to kill an army. The area where we are has a stronger concentration of radioactive energy since this place was heavily targeted during World War III. Honestly I was an idiot but if not for my idiocy I wouldn't have met Elena.
Elena is the name of the woman who's been taking care of me. She's become what I'd call a really good acquaintance. She doesn't like talking that much but when we do talk, the conversations are amazing. I don't know why but we seem to click so well.
I still have about three days until the radiation is flushed out of my systems completely. After that I should get going on my journey once again. I need to find a place that's habitable for people to live on the surface. If this area can kill an army, I'll find an area that can't even kill something tiny. I think they were called insects from my great grandfather's journals.
Whatever the case may be. I won't stop until I finish my mission, even if I have to end up dying because of it.
Until my next entry.
