Chapter 1

Lizzie pulls on my sleeves. "Their soooo cute!!" She whisper/screams at me. I chuckle and kiss her forehead. "Babe, which one should we get?" Lizzie looks around. She walks over to a little girl. We bend down. "Whats your name sweetheart?" I ask her as she trembles.

"M-marlee..." She says shyly. I smile and Lizzie smiles at me. Lizzie leaves to talk to the lady while I stay with Marlee. "So your name is Marlee, thats beautiful." She smiles at me. I smile back. "Th-thank you v-very much" She says with the sweetest smile. We talk until Lizzie comes back.

"They said we can take her home, but every week for 2 months they will come and check on her to make sure no one is harming her." Lizzie says. I nod. "Im glad they do that." I say standing up. Lizzie smiles and nods. She bends down to Marlee. "Honey your gonna come home with Joel and I, if you dont know im Lizzie." Lizzie says smiling cutely at her. Ugh, why are they so cute. Marlee nods. Lizzie stands back up. "Im gonna go with her to help her pack." She says and kisses my cheek. I smile and nod. I watch Lizzie hold Marlees hand as they walk upstairs.

*Lizzie's Pov*

I hold Marlees small hand in my slightly bigger one and walk upstairs to her room. Marlee leads me to a room and opens the door. There are many beds. She walks all the way to the end and grabs some of her things. "Ready?" I ask her as I grab her bag off her. She nods. I smile. She smiles back. I grab her hand and walks back downstairs. Joel had his hand in his pockets and watched us walk down the stairs. I smile at him and he smiles back.

We got Marlee in her carseat. I got in the passenger side and Joel in the driver side. He drived. I kept looking in the mirror back at my new baby. She was so small and so cute and peaceful. She looked out the window holding her stuffed bunny close. Her blonde hair falling out of her hairdo. I look over at Joel. He quicklyn smiles at me and grabs my hand driving with the other hand.

When we got home. Marlee was passed out. Joel got her out of her carseat and held her. I smiled at him. He smiled back. I unlocked our door. I opened it for Joel. Mari started to bark like crazy I tried to stop her but soon I heard cries and sniffles. I looked up at Marlee and Joel. Marlee was clutching onto Joel. Joel was rubbing hee back and trying to get her to calm down. I put Mari in the back yard so we could calm Marlee down.

We all walked upstairs. Joel still holding Marlee. We walked to Marlees room.

Marlee looked back at us and smiled. We smiled back. Joel wrapped his arm around me and kissed the side of my head. Marlee got on her swing. "Can you push me please!!" She asked excitedly. I giggled and Joel chuckled and nodded his head. He made his way over and pushed her. I watched them in awe.

Soon it was around 5. I was making dinner as Joel and Marlee were outside. Joel was trying to get Marlee to feel comfortable around Mari. I could see them through the window above the sink. Marlee was holding onto Joels shirt with one hand and patting Mari on the head with the other. I started making Alfredo. I out everyones plates on the table. "You two dinner!" I yelled out the door. Joel picked Marlee up and jumped up. He tickled her. "Oo mommy made dinner!" Joel said as Marlee giggled, making me smile. We sat down and started eating. Marlee really liked the Alfredo.

After dinner. I gave Marlee a bath while Joel walked Mari. "Mommy can I have some toys." Marlee asked. I nodded and smiled. "Of course Angel." I got her some bath toys. She played with them for about a half an hour before I actually started washing her. After her bath I wrapped her in a snuggly towel and sat at the edge of the tub brushing her hair. Marlee played with my hair. "Mommy can you dye my hair pink too?" She asked. I smiled. "Of course I can honey, maybe that is something we will have to do." She smiled and clapped her hands. "Yay!!" I smiled. "Lets get you dressed" I carried her to her room. I say her on her bed and headed for her closet. I grabbed a cute deer sleeper with a deer cap. I got her underwear on and then her sleeper. I put her cap on.

"My little deer." I gave her an eskimo kiss. She giggled. "Look at you two cuties." I hear Joels voice. He walks over and picks Marlee up. "Time for bed little one." Joel says tickling her making her giggle. Joel lays her on her bed. "Mommy Daddy, c-can I sleep with you tonight?" She asks. I look at Joel. Joel looks at me. I nod. "Of course Angel." I smile. She jumps up and jumps on me. "Thank you Mommy and Daddy!" She giggles. I kiss her cheek. I carry her to our room.

I lay her on the bed and play peekaboo while Joel gets dressed. Joel plays with her while I get dressed as well. When I walk out of the bathroom. I see a snoring Joel and a sleepy Marlee. I smile and crawl in bed. I kiss Marlees forehead. "Good night Marlee" I whisper. "Good night Mommy" she whispers back. I fall asleep.

*Marlee's POV*

I watch my mommy drift into a slumber. I really like it here. Even though Mari was scary at first. Its okay though now. Mari is a sweet puppy. I hope I get to stay here forever. I yawn before I, aswell, drift off into a slumber.
