"I'm doing just fine Mom, don't worry about me." A young high school girl walked out of her house and down the steps to the front gate. "Yeah, I start my second school year next week." The brown haired girl reached into the mailbox and grabbed a handful of letters. "Yes, I have everything." She flipped through the letters and separated the important ones from the ads. "How's Dad doing by the way? He had a game yesterday." The girl smiled at her mother's story when she heard all about how her father was being difficult in the physical therapy room again. He always tended to overexert himself when it came to his soccer games. "He's not pushing himself too much at practice is he?" The girl's lips tightened in irritation at the news. Of course, her father always gives it his all even though it often puts him out of commission.

Her dad is a professional athlete, and represents Japan on the soccer team. While her mom is a physical therapist. It worked out perfectly that way. Now they travel together constantly, and are only home for a short time in the off season. But then they're not home much anyways. Because they need to live in a different city to be close to the stadium. Her parents kept their home in Musutafu so she wouldn't have to go through the trouble of transferring schools. Plus, they were well off and could afford both houses comfortably.

The girl leaned against the fence separating the yard from the sidewalk, her green eyes skimming through the mail while continuing to listen to her mother talk about her father's medical sessions. "So how are you liking your high school so far? Are you excited for your second year?"

"Are you kidding?" The girl smiled teasingly. "And have school break over and done with already?" she laughed, "it's coming too soon if you ask me." The brown haired girl stared at the address of a single letter. "U.A?"

"Oh dear," The girl's mother started. "You're still not regretting your decision on not applying for U.A. last year, are you?"

"No Mom," The teen started back inside the house, mail in hand and turning the letter addressed to her over and over again, making sure her eye's aren't playing tricks on her. "I just got a letter in the mail addressed to me. It's from U.A."

"Well, that's odd. Why would U.A. be sending you a letter?"

"Well, that's what I'm going to find out." The girl sat down at the dining table and began to open the envelope. "I know I didn't do anything to receive a U.A. letter. I don't even have a quirk powerful enough to even hope to apply. Although, it would've been cool if I could get in. All Might's teaching there this year. I would love to be in that classroom."

"Stop babbling dear, and tell me what the letter says." Anticipation laced her mother's tone. "Honey! Our baby got a letter from U.A.!" She shouted to her husband.

"Why is she getting a letter from U.A?!" The girl heard her dad's voice shout back and his voice became clearer as he approached the receiver.

"What's it say, dear?"

"Dear Reiki Sasato," The girl read aloud. "It would be my honor and privilege to offer. . ." Reiki's voice trailed off as her excitement increased and her bright, green eyes ran over the letter.

"Stop mumbling dear, what does it say?!" Reiki's mother nearly shouted over the phone.

"Mom! Dad!" Reiki gasped, "it's from Recovery Girl!"

"Recovery Girl?"

"Recovery Girl!" Reiki read over the important information in the letter again. "She said she's offering me an apprenticeship. Based on my quirk, she says that I would be a perfect apprentice for her to personally train!"

"Recovery Girl." Reiki's father repeated. "She is getting up there in age. I wouldn't be surprised if she is on the lookout for a successor. With a quirk as rare as yours, you could be a great benefit to society."
