Chapter 5: Dinosaur Troubles and Strange Encounter (Jurassic Craft)

My gosh, guys- I am so, SO deeply sorry! I just had a lot of stuff going on, with things to do, places to be, people to see.. all that jazz. Also, sorry this is so short, I just wanted to get something out quickly-

I wake up with a terrible headache. I go to reach for it, but am stopped by how far my bat wings are willing to go. Owwiee, that hurts. What happened? I look around and realize I'm still in that small crack I climbed in just a few hours ago.

God, I'm stupid! I'm so stupid, I scold myself. The zombie was in hitting range. How could I have been so blind? I could've easily blocked the hit, but I was so oblivious to my surroundings that I didn't realize how close it was.

I sigh and get out of the hole. I hear snoring coming from upstairs, and quickly but quietly make my way out of the house. Yeesh. The beds are on the third floor, how are they so loud? I say to myself.

Still on the ground in my bat form, I wander aimlessly around my previous base. I then remember the young triceratops that was hatched in that little fenced in area. I slowly make my way over there, cautious of my surroundings. For once.

I see the young baby triceratops drifting off to sleep, and I feel kind of bad. The poor thing is trapped inside of this cage, and I'm just standing here doing nothing to help it!

Wait a second... Now's my chance to get the triceratops to safety! I scan the area around me, taking note of everything possibly dangerous for the little guy. I nod to myself after seeing that everything was fine. I change into my velociraptor form, trying to mingle with the triceratops.

"I promise I won't hurt you," I say to the triceratops. "I know I look scary, but I'm just trying to help you." I used my teeth to chew through the fence, eventually making a hole big enough for the young triceratops to fit through. I made sure our surroundings were safe once more, and nodded to myself after double checking. "Come on, little buddy," After encouraging the triceratops to come with me, the young dinosaur finally gave in and crawled through the broken fence. The triceratops tried crawling over a small bump, but couldn't. The little baby tumbled over onto the ground.

"What's wrong? Do you need a boost?" I went over to the triceratops and put my head underneath the dinosaur, just so I could push it over the bump. Once the baby Dino was all set, I started running, the triceratops hot on my heels.

The baby triceratops was safely hidden away, so I was left to do... well, nothing. Absolutely nothing! I'm so bored.. I sighed. My mind wandered back to the girl I had seen before. She... she's able to transform. Just like me.. I thought I was the only one. What does this mean..? I thought. I was outside, sitting next to one of the wheat fields, when all of a sudden, I heard rustling. I immediately stood up, cautiously awaiting whatever it was to come out.

When it did come out, I felt stupid. It was just a bird. "Phew... I thought it was something else, but it's just a bird. ....waaaait... hey! Get out of the wheat field!" I yelled at the bird, trying to chase it away. However, it just stood there, rooted in place. "What the heck?.. Am I not scary enough?" I tried getting closer to the bird to scare it away, but it just stared up at me. Then, it transformed into the girl that I saw before.
