It was probably two days after she crashed The Annual Dinner Gala and Celebrations of The Kims when Lisa was woken up in the worst way anybody could be woken up, which was by a string of continuous loud knocking on her door. She peaked at the alarm clock on her nightstand telling her that it was 3 in the morning—exactly at 3 in the bloody morning! And she barely even settled under her consciousness when she was pulled back resurfacing to reality again, so whoever at the other side of her door better had something really good brewing in their pot, otherwise, she would need to kill someone even before the dawn broke.
Wait, someone was at her door.
The thought woke Lisa up abruptly with a nasty feeling settling crookedly in her guts. Nobody was supposed to know that place was inhabited. Why would someone knock on her door? Was it some kids from the neighbourhood? Or a drunk, perhaps? She wondered—but again, considering her current location, those options would simply make no sense.
She opted to ignore the knocking, wishing whoever it was on the other side stopped eventually, thinking the place was empty in the first place. It was better for both parties anyway; for whoever it was knocking and her, but of course, instead of stopping, the knocking grew more persistently. So Lisa subtly got off her bed and peeked through the peephole, with a skyrocketing distaste launched all the way over her brain, she saw a glimpse of someone she thought she recognised, but it was quite impossible for that new 'acquaintance' of hers to pop out of nowhere in front of the door.
Her door.
Out of all the places she could possibly end up settling her arse at, she ended up at her door.
How on earth did the woman manage to be standing in front of her door anyway?
Lisa hesitantly opened her door to the mystery of the hour. The chain was still attached to the wall, making only a quarter of Lisa's face visible to the woman on the other side, as to how Lisa preferred it to be because standing at the other end of her door was Jisoo and it did not add up because there was only one person who knew her exact whereabouts—not even her current family was supposed to know where she lived. That was her secret place. Well, then that Jisoo had found her, the place had no longer served its original purpose. And since Jisoo already knew her secret lair, she might as well squeeze the Korean-Japanese woman for whatever it was she had that she came to her door like that and probably silenced her should everything go south in the process.
"Kang-San."
"I have so many questions right now, Jisoo-Sama. But the first one is obviously how did you find this place?"
"There's a long answer to that question, shouldn't you be asking what I want instead?"
Ain't it going to be a long night, Kang-San?
With a deep grunt of pure distaste, Lisa slammed the door on Jisoo's face making the shorter lass' face twitch somewhere between nervousness and trying to keep her demeanour stoic, which resulted in her looking as if she was constipated. The echo created did not help her settle her nervous system either. There was probably one or two minutes with Jisoo standing there before the door was opened again, revealing Lisa with one hand on the doorknob and another at her back. Lisa looked at her in suspicion and intimidation but Jisoo did not budge.
"Show me your hands—one at a time," Lisa finally demanded as if contemplating what she ought to do with the woman and stripping her naked with her doe eyes intimidatingly. Jisoo who had her hands in her massive coat pocket slowly yet steadily showed her hands—first, the right then followed the left. Both were empty.
Jisoo did not look like she was there to pick a fight, but learning from her past mistakes, Lisa could not help being vigilant. She still seemed to try so hard to find another flaw in Jisoo's sudden appearance that would help her decide what it was she should do to the woman who knew the one crucial thing no other should know about her.
