What.
The.
Fuck.
Jennie cannot believe what she is forced to do at the moment. She is now standing behind—well, more like inside Lisa's closet, literally trying to take a shot in the dark. One minute she was preparing dinner and the next minute—there she is, deliberately stuffing herself into a tiny closet of a practical stranger; just when she thought nothing could go worse than it already was, life once again proved her otherwise. The universe hates her, now she can vouch for that.
There is an eerie silence from the other side of the door and it settles crookedly with Jennie; she expects over fifty scenarios and things that might happen but silence is not even on the close fifty-one, it is simply uncanny. That is until her ears start to catch the tiny sounds that only grow louder, forcing her she to make a mental note to herself to not talk too fast she ends up regretting it because from what her ears can manage to catch, there is this sound; like when you smack your lips, unless—
Jennie bulges her eyes out at the sudden realisation of where the lips-smacking sound comes from—or what it really is, truly, now all she wants to do is just hurl. She is thankful that she cannot see what is beyond the closet door because she does not know what will be of her should ever she witness the scene that might go along with the sound it makes; one can only wonder and she is not one who would like to know. She does not dare to imagine.
Why must this happen to her?
Jennie managed to slide herself into Lisa's closet just by the skin of her teeth before Lisa opened the door and Jennie could swear she did not hear anything after. So she does not know how everything leads to everything happening but now she knows she needs to add that to the list of why she should never follow a stranger ever again (it is just a wee bit too late now, is it not? She should have thought about it before this all happens). Jennie's poor poor ears are only getting hotter and hotter that they start to get itchy. Then it gets to the point where she thinks she has finally hit the rock bottom because it just cannot possibly get worse than stuffing herself in a closet.
Is it moaning she is listening to?
Is she listening to a fucking live porn?
Does Lisa suddenly suffer from amnesia which causes the woman to completely forget about her existence that she welcomes someone else into the scene, who—judging from the way it sounds is about to strip her naked for all they care?
Just how low can she go?! Jennie screams in her head—and to the universe, partly.
Lisa owes her big time for scarring her and giving her such a traumatic experience that will haunt her for the rest of her life. Jennie is at an utter loss for words falling somewhere between disbelief and spilling all of the green leaves she has been digesting for the past month—even just thinking about all the salads she has digested and the one she is preparing is enough to make her nauseous. Now, she is not some five-year-old who cannot stand eating her vegetables, but let's be real, eating only leaves and grass for almost a month is a personal struggle for Jennie.
The petite woman ends up being lost in her own train of thoughts; as if imagining this bunch of baby broccolis chasing her arse with pitchforks in their hands. She shivers just from the thought of vegetables. She is such a baby—hold up.
Something happens.
Or in this case, does not happen.
Because Jennie is knocked back into reality when a realisation sinks into her consciousness; long gone are the traces of any sound from outside the door she is staring at, instead, a stillness starts to creep her out and it is too silent for her liking. Jennie gulps in nervousness; something is up and not knowing what is up makes her nervous. What happened to the insufferable sounds from the other side of the door?
