❝listen, i didn't even go to the party last night. your friend is lying❞ i said in the softest tone i could muster as of now. i cannot afford any more misunderstandings minsa could stack on me.❝so you're saying i hang out with liars now, huh?❞ i thinned my lips. this ain't it, chief.
❝no, sweetheart. i'm sorry. what i meant is she might've mistaken me as someone else❞ i still tried to be very careful with my words.
❝okay, i believe you❞ i stopped myself from releasing a sigh of relief. ❝thanks for trusting me, babe. would you like any-❞
❝well, i need tampons. my period kinda started like hours ago and i need stock❞ i hummed in understanding.
❝consider it done, babe! i'll buy your favorite donuts as well. i love you❞
❝thank you and i love you!❞
i let her end the call and walk to the convenience store a block away from our house. whoever told minsa that i was kissing another girl needs to have a talk with me and also a psychologist. i just can't seem to understand why her "friends" try to break us up.
are they jealous that i was getting their friend's attention?
roaming around the store, i found myself buying a bottle of beer and was about to walk to the toiletries aisle when a boy bumped onto me.
❝can you please watch where you're going?❞ i didn't mean for it to sound so angry but i guess i was just not in the mood for any bullshitry. plus, i could've knocked those eggs behind me because of his recklessness.
i went outside as i felt my phone ring. it was jeno.
❝what's up?❞
"hey, i think i saw wonhyun's car on your girlfriend's house"
❝what do you mean?❞
"that her ex is in her house now? i don't know dude, i just went for a walk and i saw his car head to her home"
❝you're probably mistaken, dude❞
i sighed after ending the call. being in a relationship is so hard but i still think that i have all the luck in the world because minsa chose me.
walking inside again, i grabbed what minsa always buy and falling in line to the counter.
i recognize the one in front of me as the dude who bumped me. the cashier was still scanning his items when i hear him curse under his breath, searching for something in his pockets.
i peeked at what he bought. grocery items, huh.
this dude probably forgot his wallet.
feeling my conscience whisper, i swiftly swiped my card onto the scanner and gave the cashier a wink.
this serves as a peace offering since i hissed at him earlier, i suppose as i smiled at him goodheartedly and paid for my items as well.
yeah and now that that's done, i still need to buy minsa's bagels.
