My Childhood Sweetheart

Chapter Five

The Herund was was watching from a distance and sees the princess standing by the terrace. No one knows how Phillip looks like in their kingdom, not even the Herund could guess it. So he decides to let himself camouflage to the surroundings. It's important that no one will notice him. He promised his highness that he will watch over and protect the Princess of Lake Arnia.

The next day, Phillip's mom takes her for a ride into the city, then to the mall. It's her first time and she's fascinated looking at all the stuff inside each store. They went inside the store where they are selling beautiful dresses. Phillip's mom asks her to try some clothes, and a sales person helps her out. She came out of the fitting room, looking different, but good.

"Oh, Esmeralda, you look so wonderful. Let's take a picture of you and send it to Phillip."

She turns around and around in front of the mirror, liking her new look. Phillip's mom took a couple of pictures and sends it to her son. 

Meanwhile, Phillip is busy with his work and notices that he has two new messages on his phone. He checks it, and sees the picture, but it was blurry. He decides to call his mom, and asks who is on the picture.

"Hello, Phillip."

"Yes, mom. Did you just send me those pictures?"

"Ahh, yes. I did."

"The picture came out blurry. Who was it?"

"It's Esmeralda, you should see her."

"Where are you guys?"

"We are at the mall right now."

"Shopping?"

"Yes, I figured Esmeralda could use some clothes for herself. I want to take her along with us tomorrow. If that is okay with you?"

"I guess, it's okay. And by the way, Julius is also going to be their mom."

"Oh, that would be great. We can pair him up with Esmeralda. What do you think?"

"I wish you ask me that first before you pair me up with Trish."

"Oh, Phillip... You will like Trish. I know you will."

"And if I don't?"

"Then, it's up to you. But please give Trish a chance, okay?"

Phillip let out a huge sigh and raise his head up to look at the ceiling, thinking why he have to do this in the first place. For him the only person who captures his heart is still Anaka.  His memory of her got cut off because of his mom. He forgot about his mom on the other line.

"Phillip? Hello?"

"I'm sorry mom, I'm still here."

"So what do you think?"

"Okay mom."

After they talk, Phillip's mom told Esmeralda that she will be going with them to visit his dad, then she smiled and nodded, excited. They still went for a short walk after shopping then went home afterwards. It was all ready almost evening when Phillip got home, and the Herund was hiding in the bushes at the same time.

Phillip thought he heard something from the bushes, nearby his car. He was going to check it, but then two squirrels came out of no where and it made him jumped. The Herund is glad he did not see him and thank you to the two squirrels.

After that, he went inside his house. He is very surprised to see Esmeralda in her new look. He walks towards her and greets her with a smile on his face.

"Hi, Esmeralda. I see you have a pretty dress on. You look beautiful."

She nodded to him, then smiles back.
