My Childhood Sweetheart

Chapter Seven

On the other side of the lake, Julius and Trish were not talking when all of a sudden their canoe turned upside down. Both them started to scream, calling for help. 

Suddenly Phillip heard someone screaming and yelling, it was Trish and Julius. He turned the canoe around and paddled towards them.

The moment was lost, and Herund felt a little better, but sad for Princess Anaka. He did not have any choice, but it's needed to be done.

"What happened?" Asked Phillip to Julius looking worried and confused, even Esmeralda got worried.

"I don't know, everything happened so fast."

"Get me out of here!" Trish screams.

"Okay-okay, just hold on tight. Esmeralda, move a little bit, but please, watch your step."

She nodded, and gave enough space inside the canoe for Trish.

"Can you hang from the edge of the canoe Julius? I'm afraid we won't be able to fit in here."

"Yeah, sure. I hope there's nothing in here that will bite me."

"I never heard of anyone swimming in here, that's for sure." Says Trish, and it made Julius scared.

Esmeralda puts her hand on Julius and smiles at him while they paddle back to the land.

Trish and Julius went back to the house looking soaked and wet. They both cleaned themselves in separate rooms and changed into a dry clothes. Esmeralda decides to take a walk back at the lake without letting everyone know. Whatever she saw before might give her a clue to everything that is going on around her. Phillip's mom is so busy pairing up Phillip and Trish while Julius gets annoyed by just looking at them next to each other.

"Don't they look good together?"

"Mom, please. You're making Trish feel embarrassed."

"Oh, no. It's perfectly okay with me. I think your mom was right."

Suddenly, Phillip gave a weird look to Julius and his friend didn't say anything, only ignores him.

"Phillip, why don't we go for a walk?"

"Julius, would you like to come?"

"No. I don't to be a bother to both of you." Replied his friend, Phillip can sense Julius is not happy to see him hanging with Trish.

"Come-on, let's go."

"Okay-okay."

Meanwhile, back at the lake. The Herund was speaking to King and Queen.

"My highness, I came to you to tell you the news."

"Go on."

"Princess Anaka, now Esmeralda,  is  back. 

"Oh, Atheius. I'm so glad to know she's okay." Says the queen.

"How?"

"She is here with the man, and his name is Phillip."

"Herund, show me the face of this man, Phillip." Commanded the queen.

Then suddenly, one of the trees' Spanish moss lifted like a curtain, Phillip's face appeared together with their daughter, Princess Anaka.

"Atheius, do you see something bad in here?" asks the queen to her king.

The king did not say anything, but kept his stare at the face of the man who started all this.

"I think, they look good together." Says the queen smiling back at the king.

"Your highness, if I may say. This Phillip is still in love with the princess."
