"Ratchet, Mordy, how's it going?" Both Rocket and Morrigan looked at each other in annoyance through a gap on the machine's platform. Rocket was tightening the springs under the machine to hook up the electric plug Tony was bringing.

"It's Rocket!" He shouted. "Take it easy. You're only a genius on Earth, pal." Morrigan grinned as Tony nodded adherently.

"You're lucky we're here to make sure everything's good to go." She added, dropping her tool kit on the platform. The loud of an obnoxious burp echoed throughout the big room. Morrigan, Tony and Rocky simultaneously looked at Thor, disturbed.

The once almighty god stood sluggish, had this unfashionable black glasses on, a Midgardian beverage in one hand whilst twisting his beard hairs. Morrigan shivered at the sight of the wild blonde mop on his head. The Asgardians had managed to salvage old remedies to produce godly alcohol, and Thor took a great liking to it, basically drowning himself in it.

"Really? Back with the glasses?" Out of nowhere, small hands snatch Thor's glasses away. Omisha drops them to the floor and stomps on them. "Do you want me to break that too?" Thor wanted to say something, but his mouth gaped like a fish. The three looking on snickered as Omisha lashed out at Thor again. "You're here to help, so do it." The feisty blonde gave Thor a stern look before striding away to find Bruce.

Morrigan followed Thor's eyes as they were on Omisha until she exited the room. It was sweet. Even though he was blurred with alcohol, he still knew his priorities... hopefully. "Did you two switch personalities? You were the mean one, I remember." Morrigan scoffed as Thor waved his hands about, spilling some drink on the floor.

Tong reached Rocket, and the two fit in the new piece of equipment. "I'm surprised you remember anything these days." She walks down the steps of the platform. "Tell me, do you remember what it was like to be worthy of being King?" A shade of darkness filled Thor's eyes.

Morrigan walked up to him, arms folded and brows narrowed. Tony and Rocket shared worried looks before disappearing behind the platform to work on some of the last pieces of the machine. "Aye, never mind, you're both mean." He couldn't look her in the eye as he didn't dare to. He didn't want her to denigrate him any longer.

Morrigan sighed. "Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Give me the beer and do what's right." Thor groaned as he placed the drink in the Queen's expecting hand. He did not expect her to chug the rest of it the moment he gave it to her. Letting out a satisfied exhale, Morrigan crunched up the can. "Tony and Rocket need help with a few more plugs. I upgraded them so whoever's in the trial runs can venture through the realm safely, I hope." She gave back the crunched up can. "We're nearly done, so I'm going to get Nat and Steve."

As Morrison left the lonely God, Omisha had come upon a few heroes bickering about time travel. "So Back to the Future is a bunch of bullshit?" She turned in to the oddest moment in the conversation as Scott had to recollect his thoughts on all the movies he's watched about time travel.

"What?" She asked out loud. The others all looked at see her and waved hello.

Bruce pointed to Scott, James and Clint. "These three have just been re-educated in the subject of time travel." James and Clint both shot the professor dirty looks while Scott still comprehended what he'd been told. "You know what's going on, though."

Omisha nodded. "Yeah, sure." She could see her sister grin slightly as Omisha just agreed with whatever Bruce meant. "Uhh — the machine should be ready by now to test it... Clint, you ready?"

Everyone in the room looked at Clint for his answer. The secretive man nodded. "Yeah. Let's do this." He was about to be shot through to his past to see if they had actually unlocked time travel. Clint actually voicing his agreement sent chills down Omisha's spine.

They all then vacated the room and made their way back to where Tony and Rocket were. On the way, they caught up with Steve, Nat and Morrigan. Once everyone was on the ground floor, Bruce made his way over to the console. Apparently, he monitored Scott's travel through the quantum realm whilst everyone was still doing their own thing. Steve had told Omisha, and Morrigan Scott had shit his pants because something went wrong.

As the heroes silently lined up around the console, Clint made his way up the steps and on to the platform. Omisha has idled up next to Thor, slipping her small hands into his. "Sorry for breaking your glasses, again." She said meekly, ashamed of being so outright.

Thor shook his head. "No, no, it's alright. I mean, I didn't really like them anyway." She knew he was trying to make her feel better. She slipped her hand into his. She watched him smile.

Just behind them, Morrigan was leaning on Steve's back, her head on his shoulder and her arms around his waist. She could feel all of the emotions driving through him at this moment. He believed with his whole heart that this worked, and she believed it for him too. "It's gonna work." She whispered in his ear just as Bruce flipped a switch or two. Yet, when she said those words, there was a part in her that hoped it didn't.

"It better." He replied as Tony and Rocket adjusted the pressure of the system.

"Alright, Clint, we're going in three... two... one." Everyone's heart skipped a beat when Clint flipped on his helmet, and the portal of the quantum realm bloomed beneath his feet. The next time they blinked, he was sucked down below.

A few seconds passed. "When's he coming back?" Natasha asked urgently, waiting for him to reappear. "Bruce?"

Tony jumped next to him by the console. "We got him, don't worry." The sound of the machine churning again made everyone quiver with anticipation. Was this going to work? "In three... two... on—"

"Argh!" Somehow, Omisha expected Clint to drop from the sky as he came back, but really, he just sprouted onto the platform, gurgling and groaning as his body tried to balance itself. Natasha was the first one up the steps, rushing to his side.

"Hey, hey! Look at me." Carefully holding his wobbly body up, Natasha's eyes burned with the need to flush out some tears. Clint emitted a few more groans. "You okay?" She helped him to his feet, checking his face and suit for anything wrong.

Breathless, Clint stood up properly on both feet. "Yeah." A huge relief was lifted off everyone's body, heart and soul. It worked.

"Barton," Tony called out to get his attention. "It worked." Hearing those words come out of Tony Stark's mouth was exhilarating. Finally, all the effort, time, equipment and patience put into the project now called Time Heist can be put into action. This giddy energy surged through the blood of each hero standing on the platform. They were going to do whatever it took to get the fallen back.
