Steve and Morrigan easily made their way out of the building unnoticed by any officials because they were all up in the building looking for Loki. "Hey Storrigan, you got the sceptre?"

The sound of Tony's voice was a relief. "Yeah, 'course we did. So where are you guys?"

Steve and Morrigan hid behind a group of evacuees as they were escorted out of the Tower and through a destroyed street. "You're walking next to a building, and we are on the other side of it." The two blondes shared a curious look before telepathically agreeing to slip away from the group and into the destroyed apartment building. Unfortunately, most of the bottom levels were discarded, ransacked and broken, so they had to venture up.

"Tony sounded a bit deflated," Morrigan spoke.

Steve shrugged as they approached a fire escape that led to the other side where Tony said they were. "Scott must've said a bad joke." Morrigan followed Steve out onto the fire escape but did not even attempt his gracious turnover before falling a floor or two. Instead, she just jumped off and landed in a knelt position.

The duo looked to their right to find neither Scott nor Tony insight. "Storrigan!" Both blondes turn around to see Tony and Scott in a broken-down car. Tony looked like he'd just picked up Scott from school because he got in trouble. "Sorry, mom and dad. We got a problem." Tony twisted in his seat as Scott sniggered in the back seat.

Scott pushed open his car door and began divulging everything that happened with them and the Space Stone. Steve and Morrigan stood there, disappointed and deflated. Tony added in his signature comments once in a while because his head was throbbing from an apparent hit.

"Well, what are we gonna do now?" Steve asked bluntly. Find another Space Stone in the past, Morrigan thought.

"You know what, give me a break, Steve. I just got hit in the head with a Hulk." Morrigan gave Tony a fake pitiful look.

Tony's comment made him somehow target Scott to have a little outburst, which was totally fair-seeming as though they'd blown the chance to get the pretty blue Stone. While the two grown men bickered about each other, Morrigan and Steve looked on bored and exhaustedly. "I feel like I'm babysitting again in the year twenty-twelve." She muttered to herself as Scott and Tony simmered down.

"Are there any other options with the Tesseract?" She wanted to slap her hand over Steve's mouth when she saw red dance across Scott's eyes. Deciding not to get involved, Morrigan sidestepped a few feet, sat down on a nice clear spot of rubble, closed her eyes, and blocked out the noise. She could figure out what to do if they could stop hassling each other.

"I got it." Her head perked up. Tony staggered out from his seat. She wanted to keep listening, but nothing valuable came to mind. There was no chance to get the Stone now. How easy it was to block out what she didn't want to hear.

"What's in New Jersey?" New Jersey? Why would Scott mention New Jersey? She looked up from the gravel to find Scott Lang holding the sceptre warily while Steve and Tony altered their time watches. When she heard nineteen—sixty-nine, the light in her head lit up.

"Lehigh — Project Rebirth." She murmured as the cogs in her brain began to turn. "Hey, you better do nineteen—seventy...trust me." She wore a warm smile. She knew what they were trying to do. "What you want and who you want won't be what get if you go sixty—nine." Tony doubled back and gave her a confronting look while Steve nodded his head at her. "You really think I'd not look out for Peggy, let alone S.H.I.E.L.D." It's not like Agent Carter needed her help anyway.
