"Hans! It can't be!" Elsa was taken aback. She wasn't exactly pleased with the auburn-haired 'prince' after what he did to herself and Anna.
"Elsa!" Hans said angrily. He wasn't exactly pleased with the fact that Elsa and Anna had foiled his plan.
"Get away from me," Elsa said, trying to keep her posture and not look weak to her enemy.
"As much as I'd like to set you on fire, I think I'd rather like to find out how in the name of the Southern Isles we got here," Hans said through gritted teeth,
Elsa tried to calm herself. "Okay, okay..." she said. She felt her powers boil inside of her, and she heard the crackle of ice begin to appear all around the room. It quickly melted though, and the temperatures in the room rose and fell dramatically.
She looked at Hans, and he appeared very annoyed at the current situation. She noticed that he wasn't dressed in the clothes he was commonly recognised in (unlike herself), he was dressed in a ruined shirt and dirtied trousers that were up to his knees. On the other hand, she wore her iconic ice dress - this time accompanied with a crown. It was identical to the one she threw away when she fled Arendelle, only silver instead of gold to match her icy dress.
Both looking outside the small, box-like window to see the moon lowering in the sky and the sun peaking through two mountains amongst a colony. A little light shed itself in the cell.
It reminded Elsa of the painful day when she was trapped in a cell in the Arendelle castle dungeons. The day when Hans almost killed her.
The cell still was poorly lit, besides the fire that Hans had created. The fire provided a dim, warming light in the room, but this did not reflect the feelings of the two situated within it.
—-
It had been a few hours, and Hans and Elsa sat in silence at either sides of the room. The sun began to dominate the sky, the moon long-gone. The cell proved furthermore to be alike to that of the cell that she was trapped in all those months ago.
When the man sat just feet in front of her had attempted to kill her.
She instantly tried to erase the nightmarish memory from her mind. But couldn't.
"H-Hans?" Elsa's previous thoughts reached the tip of her tongue before she couldn't prevent herself from speaking.
Hans lifted his head slightly to gaze at Elsa. She refused to look at him, staring at her feet timidly. He huffed in somewhat-annoyance, before finally answering her. "What is it?"
"What was going through your mind that day?" the way Elsa spoke only further proved of her timidness.
"What day?" Hans replied absent-mindedly.
"I think you know."
Hans fumbled, attempting not to meet Elsa's now-firm gaze. "I... erm..."
Now it was Hans' turn to remember the memories. He remembered back in the ice palace, he saved Elsa from the arrow. Why did I save her? he pondered. He then remembered when she collapsed unconscious on the palace floor. She looked so... no. Hans, you are not going there. He then remembered the bit after it. Elsa was in his arms and he rode on Sitron, his horse...
Hans was awoken from his thoughts.
"Answer me!" Elsa commanded.
"Why should I?" Hans smirked defiantly, his glittering green eyes meeting that of Elsa's icy blue ones.
"Because, Prince Hans..." Elsa practically imitated that of Hans' smirk, conjuring a small ice spike in her palm.
"I'm not saying a word," Hans said carelessly, not allowing himself to be intimidated by Elsa's threat. After all, he could easily use his magic against her.
Elsa quickly shot Hans a deadly stare, before launching the ice spike at the ground, mere centimetres away from Hans' feet.
He jumped in fear, and the feeling arose in him that he might just have to give into the wicked ice queen.
Or perhaps not.
"Are you going to tell me now? Or will I have to direct another ice spike at you?"
Hans shook his head defiantly, causing Elsa to send an even sharper ice spike directly at Hans'.
Hans stuck his hand out to where the ice spike would have penetrated his body, only for it to melt into a harmless puddle between them.
The expression presented on Elsa's face was only that of pure shock.
"Fire melts ice," he smirked.
Elsa would not give in that easily.
