Sorry for not updating in forever. I been going through some stuff and such.
But anyways, here is the next chapter.
•••I will admit that I am nervous for this dinner. Nate said he would be around my house at 6 to pick me up. I don't know why I agreed to this.
Nate knocked on the door and said he had parked further down the road because there was no where to park. That meant we had to walk past Jay's house. I had been avoiding walking past just incase he comes out of the door or his mum comes out inviting me in.
"So how are you?" Mate said as we exited my driveway on the way to his car.
"I've been good, you?" I said lying a bit.
"I've been well." Nate replied as we were still walking.
"You know you didn't have to agree to do this." Nate said stopping where he was and stepping in front of me.
I broke eye contact with him and looked around at where we were. And BamC we were directly in front of Jays house. I looked at one of the windows and some retreated from that window.
Could that be him? And if so, why is he wondering what I'm doing.
"No, I wanted to." I Said and we carried on walking.
I looked back at the house to see someone shut the curtains pretty fast. I still didn't know if it was Jay. I have a Gut feeling that it was but your Gut ain't always right.
•••
We reached the house after about 10 minutes of driving. As we pulled up, it was a very nice house. Much larger then mine. There was a car or two already outside the house before we parked.
"Is there anyone else coming to this family dinner as you call it?" I questioned as we climbed out of the car.
"My brothers are coming into town, that's why my mum called this family dinner. And then she told me to invite you." He said shyly at the end. I don't think he wanted me to know that he had mentioned me to his parents. I've got to admit that it is kinda cute in a way.
"Well lets go in. Brace yourself." Nate chuckled before we entered the house.
As we entered, the smell of what they were cooking filled my nose and we could hear laughter coming from a room. Nate led me toward the noise and it was the kitchen.
"Hey Guys." Nate exclaimed as we entered the room. Everyone's heads turned to where we were standing and basically all of them smiled.
"Hello, you must be Belle. I'm Nates Mum, Andrea. It's very nice to me you at last." Andrea said walking up to me and Nate.
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well." I said Smiling.
Nate introduced me to a couple more people like his Dad and his two older brothers. He also had an older sister but she was out of town for work.
[i won't include the dinner as it would probably be pretty boring.]
Nate dropped me off at home after the dinner was finished. I learnt a lot of new things about Nate and his family. It felt really nice to meet new people.
As he dropped me off outside my house, I saw Jay sitting on the doorstep to his house.
I completely ignored him when he looked my way and made my way up to the house. As I got my keys out to open the door, I heard someone shouting.
"Belle!" Someone shouted and I knew exactly who it was.
"What do you want Jay?" I Said annoyed and turned around to look at him. He was now only a few metres away from me compared to a couple minutes ago.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have just ignored you like that. I was a right idiot." Jay said walking a bit towards me.
"Your right on the idiot part." I said before opening my door and closing it behind me.
I looked out the window next to the door and saw Jay retreat out of the driveway. He had his hands pulling at his hair and you could obviously tell he was angry.
It's his own Fault.
