Justin entered his cubicle and sat down in his chair. It was necessary to take action after what had happened in Chinatown. He needed something that can get rid of Chinatown forever, but what?
Justin picked up his Blackberry and dialed his friend’s number.
“Justin?” Barry Nelson asked, when he picked up his phone.
“Yea, it’s me,” Justin said, popping a piece of gum in his mouth.
“What’s up?” Barry asked.
“Listen, we need to do something about you know what.”
“You know what, say what?”
“You know…what happened in Chinatown.”
“Right. Hold on a second,” Barry said, looking up from his phone to see his CEO staring at him, angrily.
“Barry Nelson. I need those papers worked out by this evening,” said the CEO. Barry definitely did not want to do those papers. He decided to use the awesome power of hypnosis.
Barry stared at him and drilled his hazel nut eyes into his emerald ones. When his boss was under his control he started to speak, softly, but firmly.
“You will work out the papers yourself and think that I did them,” Barry said, handing the packet of papers to his CEO, who obligingly took them and left Barry’s work area.
Barry smiled wickedly, and picked up the phone.
“You there?” He asked.
“Don’t tell me you just hypnotized your own boss, Barry,” Justin said, afraid of his friend’s answer.
“Maybe. Maybe not. Anywaaaay, I got a brilliant idea. But let’s discuss it in New York.”
“Yes, let’s-wait a second. We’re going to New York?”
But Barry had already hung up.
“Philip Easton, you are grounded! For LIFE!”
This was the reaction from his parents when they found out what he had done.
“What?? But they didn’t even expel me!” Philip protested.
“We don’t care if they expel you or not. You are grounded for life, mister. What you did was totally irrational and horrible,” Philip’s mom said, as they all entered their house.
“That’s what everyone keeps on saying, but what’s so bad about going on the rooftop and conducting a scientific experiment?” Philip asked.
Philip’s mom just shook her head at him.
“What?” Philip asked, confused.
“Son, just go to your room! We’ll talk about this later!” Philip’s dad shouted.
“Okay, okay,” Philip said, running upstairs to his prison cell.
Sheesh. I do one small act and I get suspended and grounded. For life!
When he entered his room, he glanced at his watch. 3:34.
Someone should drop by with his homework any minute now. In the meanwhile, Philip decided to sit down on his bed and pull out his HP laptop.
Philip was in the middle of playing Mario Kart when the doorbell rang. Five minutes later, Sam came into his room, his hands full of paper work.
“Yo, what’s up with your mom?” Sam asked, closing the door.
“She’s really mad at me. I’m grounded for life, supposedly.” Philip said, shutting his laptop down and putting it aside.
“Wow. For life?” Sam said, shocked.
