Chapter 31

*9 months later*

•Hannah's POV•

I have lost most of my hair because of the chemo treatments so I finally decide to shave my head bald. To be honest I don't look half bad. It has been ten months since I have been diagnosed with leukemia and so far it hasn't been easy at all but I have all my friends and family. Most of all Shawn. I have been going to these meetings were I can meet other people my age that are going through the same things that I am. I met this one girl. Her name is Cidney and she bone marrow cancer. She played volleyball like I did before she was diagnosed. she has been battling for I think the past couple of years and she has one more treatment and she is free. obviously she has to come to monthly checkups but besides that she is free.

"I will come and visit you has much as I can. I promise!" We both give each other a hug and start to cry. "I am going to miss you Cidney!" I say through the tears. "I will miss you too. just remember to stay strong! and if you need me just text me. okay?" "okay." we both smiled and gave another hug.

Right when she gets into the car I text her

Me: I need you😥

Cidney😝👐😎: Suit life on deck! 😂 but I miss you already😥

Me: You know me so well 😂 text me when your plane lands

Cidney😝👐😎: Okay. bye. Will you do me a favor and try to text your mom.

Me: Ugh yeah I guess I will. bye boo 😋

Cidney😝👐😎: haha bye looser

Me: hey watch it

Every one walks into the room. Shawn lays down with me like always. Taner, Aubree, Zerriah, Mahogany, Hailey, and Gracie all sit on the couch that is in my hospital room while Nash, Hayes, Matt, Cam, Carter, Gilinsky, Johnson, JC, and the rest of the guys sat in the floor.

"It is really crowded in here." I say laughing. "I like it!" Shawn says with a smirk on his face. I give him a 'don't even think about it' look and then he kisses my forehead. "Well I have decided to finally call my mom." Everybody just stared at me in shock. "What" "Nothing you just haven't wanted to call her after what happened because of what happened" Gilinsky says. "Oh yeah your right but I might as well clear what happened between all of us." "Oh, well how about we go get some Starbucks and food from Dairy Queen. And you can stay her and call your mom." mahogany says. "Okay sounds good. Can you get me a cotton candy frappe and a chicken strip basket from Dairy Queen?" "Yeah, totally! you should ask her about your dad." I give her a smile and thank her. Her, Taner, Hailey, Zerriah, and Shawn are the only ones that know about my dad. When I left to leave with Shawn he was also leaving. He was heading to fight in Afghanistan. I haven't heard any news about him since I left. I have missed his presence in my life.

Shawn is about to get off the bed and head out with them but I grab his arm. "Please stay. I'm scared." he nods his head yes and sits on the end of the bed. I scroll through the contacts and find the name Lindsey. I hit the call button and it starts to ring. after the third ring sone one finally answers. It is Kayla.

(K-kayla H-Hannah)

K- Hello?

H- Hey sis!

K- Hannah!? Oh my gosh I have missed you so much.

Just hearing the sound of her voice makes me feel like I'm going to cry.

H- I have missed you too. why haven't you called?

K- I thought you were mad at me. Mom misses you she cries her self to sleep every night. Hannah she feels terrible about what happened.

H- I feel bad to. Can I talk to her?

K- She is in the shower right now but when she gets out you can.

H- okay so how is life?

K- Well I was going to call you tomorrow and catch up but since you called. you are going to be an aunt. I'm pregnant!

H- *screams* oh my gosh I'm goi g to be an aunt! Congrats. Well I have some news to but it isn't good.

K- what?

She sounded really sacred of what I am about to say. I wouldn't blame her I was too when I heard.

H- It is a long story but anyways 10 months ago, Shawn and I were on tour with Ed Sheeran.

She cuts me off with screaming because as I remember she was a big Ed Sheeran fan and she is the one that got me hooked on him.

H- .... anyways the night before the day of the concert I blacked out. shawn took me to the emergency room. They had no idea what was wrong. when I finally woke up they took tons of scans and blood to do test and they found out that I have leukemia.

I can hear her voice start to crack.

K- What!? why didn't you call and tell us we would have flown you back down here and we could have been there with you.

H- That's why I didn't I didn't want to be in your's and Logan's way. I'm sorry. But the good thing is that I wanted to be closer to him so now I am at St Jude's hospital in Nashville. I was planing on calling mom but never got the guts to call either of you. I have been to scared that you both hated me.

K- I will never hate you. you are my little sister and I love you! Me and Logan are heading there right now. LOGAN I SAID GET IT THE STUPID CAR BEFORE I HAVE TO DRAG YOUR....... PUT THE BURGER DOWN AND GET YOUR BUT.... DONT YOU GIVE ME THAT TONE. See you there. bye love you.

We hang up and I start to laugh so hard that my heart starts to race. A nurse runs in and sees that I am just laughing. "You worried me sick" Lauren, my nurse says. That makes Shawn and I laugh harder.
