(Yuna's POV)

Photography is one of my things. I like to take pictures of everything. Nature, cities, anyone who would let me. Uteki, my fox, especially likes to be apart of them.

Prom is a day away. Thanks to my dateless status, I'm doing the prom pictures. I'm not complaining or anything, but watching happy couples get their pictures taken on a night they'll probably never forget doesn't exactly sound like a night that I'll want to remember.

After sliding a new memory card into my camera, I place it in my camera bag. I look at Uteki, who's panting as if she's just run a marathon. "Ashita watashi no dēto ni naru junbi wa dekite imasu ka? (Are you ready to be my date tomorrow?)" I ask.

She tilts her head slightly. I kneel down and scratch behind her ears. "I'll take that as a yes." Her tail sways softly.

I chuckle lightly at her excitement. Standing up and slinging my camera bag over my shoulder, Uteki follows behind me out of the classroom.

The principal, Chris McLean, doesn't really care about anything. Except drama. The school board wouldn't exactly be happy with having an animal in school. Its surprising that Chris hasn't been fired yet. Again, not that I'm complaining.

I look up and meet the eyes of Alejandro. The feeling of butterflies rises in my stomach. I didn't always have a crush on him. I mean, he did have a girlfriend so why would I have paid attention to him in the first place. My crush recently formed when I open my mind to new possibilities. He also broke up with his girlfriend recently. So, there's that.

"Dō shita no, yuna? (What's up, Yuna?)" he greets.

"Puromu no junbi o suru. (Preparing for prom)" I answer.

Not only do I like Alejandro for his personality, but that fact that he's a fast learner is actually amazing. We've both taken Japanese since the beginning of the school year. I've known the language all my life. Alejandro did not and now, it's almost as if he's a professional.

"Want to walk with me, Senorita?" he asks, holding out his arm. Which I take.

(Alejandro's POV)

I had to have a special plan. I've been wanting to ask Yuna to prom, but it had to be perfect. I have to do things all the way, never half.

My smile could not be wiped off my face as I lead my future date outside.

I only ever had eyes for one person until I met Yuna. I like her not only for her beauty, but her uniqueness. Fortunately, her fox seems to be fond of me. I've almost tripped at least three times for the reason that she runs in circles around mi amor and I.

"Can I ask where we're going?" Yuna asks, as we step into the grove of trees behind the school.

A smirk forms on my lips. " A surprise, amiga."

Her eyes light up at the response. I bring to the decorated group of trees towards the middle of the woods. She freezes and her jaw drops.

My lips to her ear, I whisper, "Do you like, Senorita?"

(Yuna's POV)

I'm honestly at loss for words. My heart is beating so fast, it feels like it may just pop out of my chest.

Pictures hang off the branches. Pictures of me, him, romance. I turn to gape at him. His smirk has yet to leave his face.

"It's only a hobby," he says, the attractive smirk growing bigger. He's referring to the pictures on purpose. He knows why I feel like all the air has left my lungs.

The pictures spell out a word.

Puromu? (Prom?)

I'm so stunned, it takes me a moment to respond. An uneasy expression replaces the smirk on Alejandro's face. "Yuna?"

A smile begins to take over my features. "Yes." I look between the pictures and him. "Sen-bai wa i! (A thousand times yes!)"

Uteki senses my excitement and begins to give happy yelps. Little happy whines escape her throat.

Alejandro sweeps me into his arms and plants a kiss on my lips. If only he knew how much I've dreamed of this moment. Uteki jumps up and tries to get at least one of her own tongue kisses into the mix. Laughing separates me and Alejandro. I just hug him for a while. The thought of him doing photography does eventually shove its way into my mind.

"I can't believe you do photography," I say looking at my prom date.

He brushes it off. "That's not important. You still need a prom dress."

Just the thought of having my own dress makes me smile.

Goodbye to taking prom pictures and hello to having mine taken.
