Coming home

Hunter's POV:

Luke texted me this morning that Jessie is coming home today. Usually they don't cut people loose the day after an operation like that, but Jessie was putting up a fight. Since we are in Texas it isn't all that far to Nashville, so Luke is taking Jessie home to Caroline and the boys. I am taking some time off from the tour to stay with Jessie and help out Caroline. I got out of bed and over to the hospital. Jessie was in a wheelchair and Luke was with her. Luke is driving her in his truck and I'm driving mine so he can drive back to the bus and I'll have my truck with me. After a few hours of driving we pulled into Luke's driveway. He helped Jessie out and inside. He helped her lay down on the couch. That's when he remembered that she hadn't met Caroline and the boys yet. She already had the boys wrapped around her finger. I let her sleep for a while and then woke her up.

"Hey babe, how about we get you cleaned up since you haven't bathed yet." I said. She nodded and I helped her up the stairs. I started the bath and grabbed on of my over sized t-shirts and walked back into her bathroom (Yes, her room has an en suite). I helped her undress and help her into the tub. I got undressed and sat with her in between my legs and rubbed her shoulders, she's really tense. I grabbed her washcloth and lathered it well in soap and started to gently wash her. I let her take care of her private areas. Once she was cleaned up I washed off. After I finished I relaxed against the back of the tub and she relaxed against my chest.

"I love you very much Hunter." She said.

"I love you too Jessie, I hope that you feel better soon. Seeing you in pain is very hard for me becasue I just want to see you be happy." I said. I started to rub her shoulders some more trying to work out all the knots. Like I said she is really tense. I managed to work out all the knots. I noticed the bath water was cold now. I drained the tub and helped Jessie out and helped her slip her panties on and help her get my oversized t-shirt over her head. I got her out to her bed and laid down with her. I put my arms around her carefull not to hurt her stiches I started to fall asleep with her.
