OH HELL! It feels like I blinked and it was Friday, I can't even believe I agreed to visit Atticus' niece. Maybe I could come up with an excuse not to go, but I knew I could never actually go through with it. I wanted to spend every minute of the day with him. But boy was I nervous, what if I made a fool of myself or I blew my cover!

I desperately tried to calm my nerves and pay attention to the math lesson. But, it was the end of the day and my Brian did not want to work. All I could think about was Atticus, Atticus, Atticus. GOD! Why can't he just leave me alone? It's like he lives in my mind, and there's nothing I can do to escape him.

My rant was interrupted by the school bell ringing, signally the end of school. Everyone quickly rushed out, as if they were being chased. I hung back trying to calm the swarm of wasps in my stomach. My legs felt like boiled noodles, as I tried to walk. And the teacher eyed me weirdly, she probably thought I was high or drunk.

I waited for Atticus by my locker, nervously fiddling with my hands. A couple minutes later I felt 2 hands reach around from behind me, covering my eyes. I nearly had a heart attack, until I heard his voice.

"Guess who." He whispered, cheekily.

I could practically hear his smirk, ugh why did he have to do this to me! For some reason my brain and mouth became broken, so I didn't manage to reply. He must have noticed my awkwardness, because he removed his hands and turn me to face him.

"Hey, are you alright? You look kinda pale." He questioned, sounded concern.

"Oh. Um...yea I'm good just a lil hot." I said, fanning my face. Trying to make my "I'm hot" excuse realistic.

"Yea, it's like they left the heating on even though it's like an oven outside." He replied as he opened his locker to get his stuff.

"Sorry I took long to get here, my teacher won't let us leave when the bell rung. Her reason was something stupid like 'the bell doesn't dismiss you, I do'. Like who does she think she is, my mother." Atticus said annoyingly. Lots of thinks at our school didn't that, I think it's because that's basically the only power they have over the students.

"Hahahahahahahhahahahhaha yea" I replied. Wow I was really losing it. Who reply's like that? I think he agreed with me cause he gave my a questioning side eye. I tried to act as normal and calm as possible as I waited for him to close his locker and head to the car.

"Alright...so I guess we should head out now, I'll show you the way to my car." Atticus said, still giving me a concerned and confused look.

The car ride there was awkward as HELL, thankfully it wasn't long. We didn't talk at all, but I could tell he wanted to say something. I guess he also felt too awkward to say anything as well. When we got there, Atticus parked the car in the drive away and shut the car off. Before getting out he turned to me.

"So just a heads up, Georgina is very emotional and sensitive right now. So just be careful with what you say cause she will definitely hold a grudge." He said sounding rather amused. But that only scared me more, what if I made her cry and then he would hate me. Maybe I'll just say nothing then she can't get offended by anything I say.

"I'll keep that in mind, hopefully I do all right." I said, showing my crossed fingers. He chuckled and then exited the car. I took a huge breath and exited as well, trying to prepare for the journey a head.

Atticus unlocked the front door and lend me inside. The house was surprisingly very neat and organised, despite the disfunction of his family. Atticus took off his backpack, and showed me wear I could put my stuff before leading me up stairs to his sisters room.

"Hey Georgie, it's Attic. I brought someone to visit you." He announced before entering the room. I entered after him, Georgina was rocking in the chair next to the bed with a small bundle in her arms.

"Oh thank goodness you're here Atti, I can hardly move my arms." She said, soundly relieved. She stood up and placed the bundle in Atticus' arms. Her eyes then looked behind him and landed on me.

"Well well well, looking what we have here. Quite a looker I must say, you have good taste Atti" She said looking me up and down "oh he will do, he will do just fine."

I instantly felt hot and awkward under she stare and began to fumble. I had no clue what she was implying, but I felt very scared.

"Oh stop harassing him George, he's only a friend and besides he's head to see the baby" Atticus said to his sister soundly annoyed. I felt very thankful to him for saving me, but he was talking to her rather harshly hopefully he doesn't start crying.

Georgina was pouting angrily as she left the room to go somewhere. Atticus turned toward me with the sleeping baby in his arms. I had to admit she was adorable, almost as adorable as Atticus. Almost.

"You want to hold her?" He asked holding out his arms.

"Umm... sure I guess" I shrugged, reaching out my arms for the baby. He carefully placed the sleeping baby in my arms, and moved he hands to my arms helping me to hold her. Of course I had held a baby before so I don't know why he had his hands there, but i'd never tell him that.

I looked up from the baby to see his handsome face smiling down at the baby. His eyes looked as if they were sparkling, and I could help but falling deeper into the vast hole that was love.

"What did your she mean my, you have good taste?" I asked out of the blue curiously. I saw his body noticeably stiffen after I asked the question. He recoiled his hands from my arms, and they immediately felt colder.

"Oh she was just joking, you know how siblings are." He replied nervously, his voice shaking slightly. I was confused by his behaviour, but brushed it off as his she re-entered the room.

"Hey love-birds, hows the baby?" She said soundly over joyed. Love-birds? Okay this is definitely suspicious. Is Atticus gay? NO WAY! He is like to image of any girl's dream man, how could he be gay? As I had a debate with my mind, the baby suddenly began to cry.

"Oh did someone just wake up." Georgina cooed at the baby, taking her form my arms. She rocked the baby in her arms, and motioned for us to leave the room. Atticus put his hand on my back and lead me out of the room to the one across from it.

"Why don't we hang for a bit in my room. You play video games?" He asked, taking a seat on his bed with a controller in his hand.

"Yea I do, so prepare to lose" I said cockily. Taking a seat next to him on the bed. As the game started up I looked around the room, it wasn't small or bigger rather in the middle. But it was very neat and organised just like the rest of the house. There wasn't much in the room, it was quite plain with a bed, desk and closet but nothing on the walls or anything.

"Oh no, I have to get dinner started!" Atticus said frantically checking his desk clock. After we had played video games for 2 hours. He got up and turned to rush out of his room before turning towards me.

"Why don't you stay for dinner, I can drive you home after. All right?" Atticus suggested.
