It was Saturday, the day after I met Jimin. The skies were clear and blue. The grass was a beautiful shade of green. You could hear birds chirping and laughs of families playing in their backyard. I always loved springtime.
I had nothing much to do. I have only a few friends in this area. Most of them are probably doing something already. I would just be a bother.
Beep Beep
My phone lit up. There was a message from Jimin.
Jimin: Hey! Can u help me unpack my stuff? I thought I could do it on my own, but turns out I cant :)
Jieun: Sure! Coming rn
I took my phone and put it in my back pocket. I put on my shoes and walked to Jimin's house. It was only a few houses away from mine. On my way, there were a few ghosts, but one caught my eye.
There was a ghost who looked like a male. He had cuts all over his body. He had brown hair and pitch black eyes, just like Jimin. The little boy wore grey sweatpants and a red shirt. He seemed to be looking straight at me, staring into my soul.
I tried to ignore the ghost and I just couldn't. It was different from the others, but I didn't know why.
Meh. It's just a ghost like every other one I see. Nothing big. Ignore it.
My eyes stopped looking at the ghost and I continued walking to Jimin's house. After a few more steps, I was there. I pressed the doorbell and waited for Jimin to answer the door.

"Hey, Jieun! Come in!", Jimin greeted me as he let me inside the house. "Thank you so much for helping me out. It's been tough moving in all by myself with knowing no one in the area.".
"Don't worry, it's worth it. This small town is pretty quite and friendly. Everyone knows each other here. Nothing bad has happened in the past few years.", I said trying to comfort him. "So, what do I do?".
"Um, you can get help me bring these boxes upstairs. They're really heavy. Even I can't carry them. I think we can both lift these up.", He said pointed at the two large boxes.
"On it!", I walked toward the boxes. Suddenly, the ghost from earlier popped up, right in front of me. I stopped and stood there. The ghost looked like it wanted something from me. Something he's been trying to get his whole lifetime as a ghost. But what was it?
"Hey, Jieun? You good?", Jimin waved his hand in front of my face. The ghost wasn't there anymore.
"Uh, yeah. Sorry. Just spaced out for a bit.", I blinked a couple of times to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
"Great! Carry the other side of the box while I carry this side.", Jimin said. "One, two, three!".

After about four long hours, Jimin's house was all set. He just needed to unpack a couple more boxes, which were two times smaller than the ones we carried upstairs.
"Jieun, thanks so much for helping. I have no idea what I would do without you.", Jimin wiped the sweat off his head with a towel.
"It's no big deal! I'm going to head out now! See you around!", I waved goodbye and opened the door.
But the weirdest thing happened once I walked out.
There were no ghosts. Like at all. I was thrilled, but why would the ghosts, that were there every single day, disappear out of nowhere?
"Meh. At least I can live in peace now.", I thought inside my head as I walked to my house.
Or so I thought.
