Robyn
The first thing that I did was freak out, the second thing I did was more rational. I ran out of her room and searched different rooms that she could possibly be in. The kitchen, the living room, in the backyard, in the front yard, then back inside, and the rest room, but I only checked if there was a light on and sadly, there wasn't. I tried to call her friends, which in turn I only remember one of their numbers and when she answered she told me that she had never visited yesterday even though she said she was going to. I freaked out mentally but told her my thanks and hung up then immediately called the police, once I told them about Alyssa they sent one of the cops over here, and told me they'd be here soon. I, in turn thanked them then waited about half an hour when they asked me how long she'd been gone.
"She's been gone for... Well I came back and found her gone around 6:00 p.m. From there she hasn't came back since" I explained, the cops looked at each other and sighed
"Look, ma'am I'm sorry to say but we can't look for her, not unless she has been gone for twenty four hours and it seems that she's been gone for a few hours before it becomes a day, again I'm sorry but she'll probably be back soon, or she must've been here before you woke up and probably left a note on the table, and if she hasn't picked up the phone or left a note, and it's been twenty four full hours, then you can call us, have a good day ma'am" and with that they left. I was shocked the entire time, I knew what they had said was right. But I just couldn't believe that I didn't check for any notes, I thought I did...
I sighed and left back inside where I spent the next four hours trying to find clues or notes that she might have left me, so far none. But I didn't give up, I searched around the kitchen and the living room mostly, but found nothing, I checked voicemails in the house phones, I checked in the bathroom, and most of all I checked my room. There was something I didn't really notice before, there was a crumpled piece of paper lying on my floor.
Hesitantly I walked over to it and picked it up, and outstretched it as far as I needed to, and closed one eye, then timidly and fearfully I went ahead and opened it up and to my surprise nothing was written was on it. I huffed and smiled softly in relief then threw it on my desk. I left my room and started to check again in different places, I became so desperate to know where Alyssa is I searched her room, then once I gave up in the idea I found a notebook, a drawing notebook, I shrugged and sighed for a moment, deciding that I should look at the pictures later which in turn I had dumped the drawing notebook in my room then, I put on my regular clothes and stepped outside where I asked the neighbors I knew where she was.
Most them told me that had never seen her yesterday and some said they had been out, or they were busy with something else they weren't outside. I was about to give up until one of the few neighbors had actually given me directions and the others told me information
"Ah yes, she was walking down the street, looking at every direction possible, even spinning in a slight circle to check for something, it was strange but she walked past my house when I was weeding my plants, I asked her what she was doing and she jumped and said she was making sure nothing was strange, of course I thought that was a bit unusual but now that I know she went missing I should have told her to go home" Mrs. Jensen explained to me, which in turn I thanked her great fully then went on again in search for her, another neighbor down the street had said something almost the same, just a little more detailed
"The poor girl looked so paranoid and scared for some reason, and she was talking to herself too, I don't know why but I asked her what was up and she would shake her head and mumble stuff like 'I'm doing this to protect her' or 'Please leave me alone' but that's all she would really say, I couldn't hear anything else because it was inaudible, but she was heading towards the woods, I had a feeling I should've called the cops and helped her out, but I didn't for some reason, I'm sorry she went missing" Mr. Martinez said while pushing his grey hair back
"It's okay, thank you for the information sir, have a good day" I said, but before I could step back he stopped me
"Hey, be careful if you're heading to the woods, a lot of people, mostly deceased and the insane were found in there, also because there are legends of killers being there, just stay safe, here take this flashlight, it has full battery just in case it gets dark while your in there" Mr. Martinez handed me a flashlight, it was a regular flashlight that probably uses double A batteries, which is probably the best thing a neighbor could have ever given me
"Thanks Mr. Martinez, it means a lot, well I'll see you around" I said happily, in turn Mr. Martinez scratched his mustache and nodded
"No problem" he said as I left off running to the woods, I know the last time I went to the woods I almost got killer but at the moment, all I could think of is Alyssa and how she could be in danger and the stupid police aren't going to help me find her until "Twenty-four hours past" oh to hell with them! If they won't help me, I'll do it myself!
I ran around the woods for what felt like an eternity, when really when I checked my watch it was just about barely an hour. My eyes widened and I stiffened when I heard a voice
"Oh look, it's the pet" I turned around and saw Masky leaning on a tree "What are you up to now? Trying to find Toby?" He asked, which in turn I shook my head
"Shut it Masky, I'm looking for someone else" I mumbled as I started to walk away from him
"And whom might that be?" Masky asked as he stood up straight and followed. I stayed silent for a moment before sighing
"My sister" I said quietly, which in turn Masky ran in front of me and stopped me
"Turn around and leave" he ordered me, which in turn I backed away and shook my head
"Tell me why I should" I said "then I'll consider leaving" I noticed something past him, right over his shoulder, something... No... Someone... My eyes widened and my guts felt like they were being ripped out of me, I clenched my fists "Get out of my way Masky" I said as I shoved him to the side and ran to the thing I saw
My eyes welled up with tears, my throat felt like someone was choking me, or it was swelling, my heart thumped and it hurt every time it did so. I clenched my fists tightly as if fell to my knees.
There lied Alyssa, she had multiple stab wounds in her stomach, so far, she was still alive, and she was looking at me, she was breathing shallowly and her eyelids were half opened, she pointed at Masky and shook her finger, I guess that meant Masky hadn't killed her. She motioned me to come closer which, with all my courage my face neared hers, and I could hear her finally.
"I love you Robyn... Please.... P-Please stay safe..." She mumbled as she coughed out blood
"Who did this?" I asked her, my voice was trembly and it kept cracking but I didn't care
"Tall guy... Pale face... That's all I saw..." She mumbled, then smiled softly "I... I'll miss you..."
"Please... Please Alyssa don't leave me please!" I sobbed, and held her hand tightly, she squeezed my hand a little bit before she closed her eyes and her body went limp.
The moment that happened, I blew it. I blew into sobs, that is. I never felt this much despair in my life, knowing the last bit of my family was gone, and the only left to do is cry.
