Sell your soul, not your whole self.

"Miss Green, I believe we need to talk" said Mr. Wizinski (our principal) in a very stern tone. His features were not amused or maybe it was just his saggy skin from old age that just covered his emotioned face. I hadn't really noticed befire but his face adn skin was actually so wrinkly. "What are you starnig at?" Mr. Wizinski snapped pulling me out of my thoughts. "Your wrinkly, saggy face" I replied. He made a scowl and huffed "Mr Clarke, you are free to go" Mr Wizinski said looking at Cooper, tapping his foot impatiently waiting for Cooper to leave.

"Nah, I might just stay and watch. Things might just get a little interesting." Cooper tested. "Leave or her punishment will be worse" Mr. Wizinski challenged back as if I was some pawn for him to get his own way. Cooper sighed heavily and stood from under the desk. He lazily walked over to the door and turned around before leaving "Watch out Mr. Wizinski, she's a fiesty one" and winked before leaving the room not closing the door behind him. Mr. Wizinski walked to the door, closed it and locked it with a rusty old key. How lame, like really? A rusty old key?

"We need ot talk about your behaviour" Mr Wizinski sighed taking a seat and facing me. "What about it?" i asked, It's not the first time and it won't be the last time I've had to talk about this with the principal. It always goes the same. This was nothing compared to what I would usually do. "It's getting out of control, no it always has been out of control but this just can't continue. What will the future hold for you when you leave this high school, how will you raise a family and keep a job, leave a stable life?" He said gently.   "I'll not work, I won't have a family and I don't need anyone" I snapped folding my arms across my chest.

"Alyssa, sometimes I think that you're quite lonely. Maybe you should get some help, I've been observing you for the last few months and I would make  a bet that you have maybe a little depression?.." I tapped my foot at a quick pace, looking out of the window. I wasn't going to talk about my problems with an old man and become best friends and open up. I will not break down my wall for anyone.

"Don't tell em who I am and what I feel" I replied blankly. "Alyssa, people have been contacted about you behaviour and Cooper as well. Underage drinking and smoking, dealing drugs. All this sex and illegal work, hacking computers-" he lowered his voice and leaned in "if you don't clean up your act these people will take you away. You need ot be good, your passing your class's but that won't save you and it won't just be a little detention centre that you'll go to again but somehting a lot worse. Just try" He said looking at me with his old eyes. But hold the hell up, I haven't even shagged anyone.

"What's my punishment?" I asked just wanting to leave. He sighed and said "Nothing, just think about what we just talked about, why not you just go home for the rest o fthe dya unless you're willing to clean up" With that he unlocked the door and walked out. He was pretty nice today, very nice.

I left the school in a hurry and just went home. I ran up the stairs of my big empty house into my room. Who were those people he was talking about? Washe just trying to scare me? Probably.

A few hours passed and my phone rang. Coopers caller ID showed up on my screen, I answered excpecting him to talk about the party we were going to tonight. "Are you still coming tonight?" He asked sounding nervous. "uh, yeah, why?" "Just wondering, see you there. No, actually I'll pick you up at 6." he replied and hung up. That was just a little odd.But not enough to make me question it.
