Sam was still star struck as she made her way through the people. They were all very goth–very punk–with their dark clothes and piercings and tattoos of naked women and rose bushes crawling up their arms.
Sam, usually a bit uncomfortable when surrounded by people that seems so…so dangerous was bouncing her way to the front of the room, dragging a flirting Vanessa and a smiling Alex behind her. Her heart still pounded, her cheeks were still flushed, her lust for that gorgeous boy…all were the symptoms of seeing him up close.
She had talked to him. Well, he had yelled at her, but she still had interacted with him. She wished desperately that she could replay the scenario. He would scold her, but she would grab his jacket, stopping him and then she would talk to him about music. He would ask for her number and they would text before he asked her to go on a date. She would be his girlfriend and would go on tour with them, support them, play along with them.
Of course, this was all very far fetched.
Yet, when ones’ head was filled with thoughts of a sexy bad-boy, how is it possible not to imagine the possibilities? Sam continued to dream the dreams as her friends and her found the most perfect spot, right before the mosh pit, and a delightful distance away from the speakers.
“I’m gonna go get a drink!” Alex called over the noise of the people and the band currently on stage, “Do you guys want anything?” Of course Alex wasn’t referring to alcohol, he, like Sam, disliked the bitter beverage. His girlfriend, on the other hand, loved getting buzzed.
This meant that Sam ordered a coke and Vanessa ordered vodka.
Vodka.
Sam had assumed that you usually get cheap beer when you go to a place like they were at, but apparently her friend proved her wrong. Or maybe Vanessa liked to be bold. Sam was a bit confused on the matter, but decided to ask about it later and enjoy the night the three had planned.
Alex disappeared into the crowd and Vanessa watched him go. Sam loved the dreamy look that V had in her eye. She loved that her friend had love. Sam smiled softly to herself before tapping her friend on the shoulder to shake her out of her trance.
“So,” Vanessa started, the glint of admiration falling from her eye and one of excitement replacing it, “I was checking tumblr and shit, and it turns out that Burning the Stars will–probably–be opening for Hectic Salvation!” Sam was completely speechless. Hectic Salvation? They were probably one of the most theatrical, beautiful, inspiring, amazing bands since My Chemical Romance…Sam thought so at least.
Sam pushed her curls behind her ear, “When are they playing in LA?” she asked, starting to bounce a bit. She was so pumped, so excited, for her two most favorite bands to come together.
“I’m not sure about tour dates yet,” Vanessa confessed, “But I do know that LA is definitely on the list! Lisa-Kay was posting all about it this morning. Apparently she loves Los Angeles.”
Lisa-Kay was Hectic Salvation’s lead singer, also known as “LK” or “LucK”. The girls absolutely adored her. She was edgy, punk rock, and extremely hot-headed, giving reporters terribly fake stories about anything that popped in her head. She made the two fans inspired to take no shit from anyone, though they were never really noticed, anyway.
“I think I’m going to faint from excitement.” Sam laughed, the giddy feeling in her stomach growing.
Vanessa nodded, “But, fuck, that drummer,” she fanned herself with her hand, referring to Cameron Staves, Hectic Salvations drummer, “Jesus, I want to eat him. Can I? Can I eat him? Please?” she continued to ask and Sam let herself let out a series of delirious giggles. What was it with drummers being absolutely perfect?
