"Alright, take as much time to rest as you need ok?" I nod and get up as the paramedic puts his stuff away then drives away.

"What happened here?" I turn and see a man getting out of his car. My eyes widen as I look over his features recognizing them from the pictures of lucy and her mother.

"There was a homicide, suicide" My voice was very faint but he reacted like I screamed.

"What do you mean!?" His eyes had a strange look in them.

"A lady in apartment 166 attacked her daughter then tried to kill me but when the police came she stabbed herself." He stood back being quiet for a while then his shoulders started to shake.

My mind was telling  me to comfort him but my gut was telling me to run

"Why did you do this to our daughter!?"

I was taken a back

"They were your family?" His tears faded away

"Yeah, we were so happy I don't know what made her do that."

"I'm terribly sorry, you must have really loved them"

“With all my heart”

“What will you do now?”

“Probably stay with family until I heal.”

“Do you mind if I ask you a question?”

“Ok”

“What do you do?... It’s really early to be getting home at this hour.”

He then gently grabs my hand as he gets closer and hands me a card.

“I’m an agent for a fashion company, we look for different type of models…. Speaking of which, you look like you would be great as a model.”

I suddenly had a bitter taste in my mouth. I forced a smile as I pulled my hand gently away.

“Sounds like it would be fun, but I’ll pass, I'm not that type of person. Thanks for the offer though.”

"Oh... ok... Tell me when you change your mind later cause we do always have an opening." He then walks to his car but suddenly stop and turns back around and looks at me.

"I almost forgot to ask for your name."

"Eva Maria, what's yours?"

"John Wilson, It’s a pleasure to meet you, Eva Maria, I hope we meet again soon " He then gets in his car and drives off.

I turn and look at the building hesitantly debating if I should go in or stay at a friends place. After a couple of minutes, I sigh giving up and walk up the stairs.
