It's been a week since Steve and I became a couple and I am loving it. We have a lot more in common than I thought we would. He loves video games, anime, fantasy novels, horror films, and has a major sweet tooth like me. But the number one reason I like him is that he is very sweet and kind hearted.

Last night we watched the Conjuring movies and had a fantastic time. I jumped when the crooked man came on to the screen ,he noticed and wrapped his arm around me for comfort. I appreciated it and cuddled into him under the blanket. We stayed like that causing me to mentally drift off not long after.

I opened my eyes and saw the sun coming through the window and looked around and see Steve asleep next to me. I get up and put the blanket on him and go into the bathroom to take a shower. After my shower I go back into the living room and see Steve is still asleep and smile to myself thinking how adorably nerdy he looks.

Knock Knock

I go over to the door and see a woman in a long coat through the peephole and open the door a little.

"Hello?" The woman shows me a police badge

"Hello ma'am, I'm Detective Jessica Armstrong. Does Eva Maria live here? I need to have a word with her." I nod my head

" I'm Eva" I open the door wider and let her in

"Would you like a cup of coffee?" She shakes her head

"Thank you Miss Maria but no thank you, I would like to just ask you a few questions if that's ok with you" I go into the kitchen and make some coffee as she sits at the table.

"Sure, may I ask what brought your visit?" I get my cup of coffee and sit at the table in front of her

"It's about Mrs. Wilson, the woman that nearly killed you." The image of Lucy came to my mind but I push it back with the slight stinging pain in my eyes

" What about her?"

"We did an autopsy on her and the results show she was highly drugged while being pregnant" I looked at her confused

"She normally had some prescriptions but because of the baby she stopped using them, there was cough medicine and painkillers but none of those were in her system. We searched the apartment and found the containers but when we looked inside, it looked like someone switched it with some foreign  substances that we still are trying to identify." My mouth widened in disbelief and horror

"Who would do such a horrible thing?" As the words left my mouth my mind went to John's strange behavior.

"We don't know, we talked to friends and family who knew Mrs. Wilson and they said that she was a sweet woman and that she adored her family but no one knew that she was pregnant. It seemed that she wanted it a secret surprise for when her husband came back from his trip." I look up to her

"Does Mr. Wilson know about the baby?"

"Not until recently.... we told him not long ago and he was just devastated" My heart felt heavy for him and take a small breath

"What's that got to do with me?"

"We were wondering if you saw anything strange before the event happened." I shake my head

"I moved in the very same day that it happened" she nodded understandingly

BANG

I look up and see Steve groggily rubbing his head as he walks to us

"That hurt" I give a small smile and get up and go to him and look at his head

" It doesn't look like it will leave a mark" Detective Armstrong stands up

" I better take my leave, I got all the information I need" She walks to the door and I follow her

"If you do happen to see anything here is my card" she takes a card out of her coat and gives it to me.

"Thank you" I open the door for her and closed it when she's gone
